Writer's Commentary: Damsels Anonymous Volume 3

Hello everyone,

It's the start of a new month, which means it's time for another writer's commentary, this one one the third volume of Damsels Anonymous, which focuses on the characters of Tanya and Shelly, two of my favorite characters in my stories.

As I said before, I came up with the story of a three book arc, with the third focusing on Tanya and Shelly, who had previously been supporting players but would take center stage in this one. I wanted to build the anticipation for them getting tied up over the course of the previous two books, with Shelly self gagging in the first story and Tanya getting hand gagged in the first two stories as well. My goal was to get the readers to be aching to see these two character in bondage but also to get their punishments.

I've written before of how cheesy SyFy movies proved to be a fertile ground for inspiration for me, and it was no different with this book, as the characters of Tanya and Shelly are actually based on the grown up versions of 80s pop stars Tiffany and Debbie Gibson, who stared in a cheesy SyFy Channel original movie together.


I watched the film one night with a couple of friends, as we were looking for a bad movie to make fun of, and this proved to be the perfect bad movie. Tiffany plays a small town police officer while Debbie plays her sort of rival, and the two characters clash over the course of the film while also dealing with giant monsters. As the film went though, I found myself mesmerized by Tiffany's... ahem... assets...

For some time after the movie, I found myself fantasizing about Tiffany's character in this movie and what if she found herself all tied up on the job instead of having to deal with giant crocs and giant pythons. Eventually, as I dreamed up my Damsels Anonymous stories, I rolled these fantasies into those books, and my idea for the third volume was born. Though Tiffany was a police officer in the film, I decided to change her to character to a reporter, deciding that I already had enough cop damsels and wanted to play around with the "nosy reporter" damsel archetype. I decided to combine this nosy reporter archetype with the "nosy neighbor"  and "Lonely middle aged single mom" trope to hopefully create a sexy character that people would enjoy seeing tied up. As a side note, in the film there's a crotchety old female cop that also served as inspiration for Deputy Cringe, the older Deputy from the first two volumes who finds herself constantly exasperated at the antics of the other girls. 



Since the film had Tiffany and Debbie as rivals, to play on their supposed real life rivalry, I decided to keep that dynamic for the book and have it that they were enemies that occasionally forged uneasy alliances that always ended in betrayal. With this, I came up with the idea of making Debbie's character a femme fatale who was always scheming and manipulating. Knowing that I wanted her to get tied up, I decided not to have this character affiliated with Ace or the other villains but instead had her be out for herself. Of course, her schemes always backfire, leading to her being tied up as well. 

If you've followed me for some time, you know that I love mature ladies, so I couldn't resist making these two characters milfs. In my original idea for this story, their kids played much bigger roles, but as I sat down to write I found myself feeling uncomfortable writing such a sexual story with minors, and scaled a lot of that back. In fact, Shelly has a son that disappears completely! I reference her son in the first two volumes, but he's gone completely from 3 and replaced with Brad. I'm retroactively fixing that now, as in my new Damsels Anonymous story, I mention that Shelly sent her son to live with family members so she could focus on her plan to take over Ace's organization. 

Originally I had intended a sub-plot with Shelly and Tanya's sons becoming friends. Later in the story, after their constant interference in Ace's plans, Ace hires a clown themed hitman to take the women out. This character would have attacked Tanya in her home and trussed her up like a turkey, complete with apple gag and carrot up her rear, and then basted her in oil. Shelly, hearing a commotion at Tanya's place, would have come over to investigate only to get pounced by this same hitman and bound and gagged. It all would have to to a head in Tanya's backyard where the two kids face off with the hitman who has both women tied up and gagged with ribbons and suspended over the pool. I decided to cut this scene though because I didn't think a clown themed hit man fit, tonally, and had already done a "bound and gagged with ribbon" with Felicia in volume 1.

At one point someone suggested to me a scenario where Tanya's son gets tired of her always running around in her thong bikini and ties her up as a punishment. Though I was hesitant to do scenes with kids, there was something about this I liked, so I thought it over. Then the idea hit me of Tanya trying to seduce someone and it made her son uncomfortable, leading to him tying her up. With this I came up with the idea of Brad, a well built guy in his 20s with a thing for bondage and older women. Almost immediately I came up with the scenario of Tanya being into this younger guy, which embarrasses her son and leads him to tie her up in the basement and throw a party. Of course Brad finds her, and gets turned on, leading to a sex scene. Then the idea of a morning after food-play scene came to mind, which I also loved, which would further drive a wedge between Tanya and her son. As I came up with future ideas for her character, the question of "what about her son?" kept coming up, and I realized that a scene like this would be useful because it would give Tanya a reason to send her son away, and after this I mention that she sends him to live with his Dad.

How would Brad come about though? At first I considered making him Shelly's son, though I had already established her son as being a teen. My first thought was to just ignore what I had already written and have it that Shelly's son had been in his 20s the whole time, but that felt cheap to me. Then I came up with the "ex-step-son" idea that Brad had been Shelly's ex-husband's kid from a previous relationship. This would make the dynamic much more interesting between him and Shelly because not only was he something from her past coming back to plague her, but I could hint at Brad having a possible attraction to her and that being the reason for him returning. Brad ended up becoming a really fun character to write because he's such a wild card, he's manipulative like Shelly and is a bit mischievous, a guy who ultimately only wants to party and have sex. 

This story opens with Tanya trying to infiltrate one of Ace's brothels and being caught, only to come face to face with The Queen. Before that, Tanya meets a dark haired, busty bartender. If you read my other story, the Bartender and the Bodybuilder, you may remember a certain female bartender character who gets abducted by a dominatrix at the end of the story...

Yep, this is a little cameo by that character. The dominatrix at the end of that story is in fact The Queen, who now has that character working for her slinging drinks in her brothel. The Bartender is living a good life, as long as she behaves herself. But what about the bodybuilder? Maybe she was a little too feisty for The Queen, or maybe she's fulfilling another role...

Later, Tanya finds herself bound and gagged in a room and attempting to call Shelly for help. Of course, Shelly leaves Tanya to her fate, enjoying listening to Tanya's muffled cries on the phone. This was inspired by a scene in an old black and white Ellery Queen film where a nosy woman gets caught and bound and gagged by the bad guys. She attempts to call for help, but has difficulty communicating through her gag, leading to the man on the other end of the phone to somewhat mock her current predicament. It's a great, light hearted scene with a massive, thick gag and lots of gag talk from the damsel.

Later, Tanya is brought before The Queen. As I said before, I already knew that The Queen would take center stage in volume 4, and had hinted at her in volume 2, but this was her big first appearance. I wanted to establish her as a major character and antagonist, and we get a sexy torture scene where she has her way with Tanya. This scene was partially inspired by a torture scene from a Punisher comic (later brought to life in the 2004 movie) where The Punisher psyches out a guy by pretending a Popsicle is a blowtorch. When he reveals that he was using a Popsicle, The Punisher shoves it in the dude's mouth. Of course, I wanted to be kinkier, and naughtier, and had The Queen shove the Popsicle up Tanya's ass. The next part, where the gagged Tanya is thrown out of a moving car at Shelly and Lisa, was inspired by The Mask where the gagged Jim Carrey is thrown out of a car outside of city hall. 

Next, our milfs in distress both get caught and bound and gagged at a pool party at the Lady Luck Casino. Tanya gets caught first, and then is discovered by Shelly, who gloats over her bound and gagged rival only to then get caught herself and bound and gagged alongside her. This was one of my favorite scenes I've written and was brought to life in art by Fifty Shades of Gag and then most recently by myself in a short comic. For this scene, I drew inspiration from several sources, most notably a scene I found on YouTube where two older women are bound, and gagged with massive, thick cloths and then try to work each other free. I'm not sure what this film is called but it's a foreign film and is heavily circulated on clip sites.

I loved this scene and wanted to do something similar with Tanya and Shelly, but also took inspiration from a clip from a film called Love on the Run where Clark Gable is bound and gagged in a chair and tormented by a frenemy of his while he struggled. This was the basis for Shelly mocking Tanya's predicament before getting caught and bound and gagged herself.

At first I was just going to have the two damsels struggle side by side and leave it at that, but then one day while browsing Deviantart I stumbled across some art of two of the Ninja Turtles bound and getting gagged with layer upon layer. I loved this idea of layer gags and decided to do it for this scene where their captors punish them with multiple gags on top of each other.

Damsels Anonymous Volume 3 is a volume that went through a lot of changes from concept to execution. Originally, this story was meant to be the last we see of Tanya and Shelly. For all intents and purposes, these characters were essentially the true villains of the first two volumes, and this was meant to be the story where they get their just desserts. My original plan was that Gina, Caitlyn, and Eva work together to escape the jail, tie and gag Lisa, and lock her in a cell. Gina would then approach the bound and gagged Felicia and present the idea that they work together to get Tanya and Shelly and clean up the town. Felicia would let go of her resentment in that moment and agree. 

The SyFy film with Tiffany and Debbie Gibson that inspired this story features an incredibly sexy cat-fight between the two women near the end. The way my mind works, I imagined that this scene would be even sexier if one or both women ended up bound and gagged after this fight, and came up with an idea that while they were fighting, some people would run up behind him and rip off their skirts. Embarrassed, Tanya and Shelly would run off, only to discover more assailants waiting with ropes and gags, and after securing and silencing the women, would haul them off in a van towards an unknown fate.

My original plan was that it was Felicia and Gina who show up to the party and strip Tanya and Shelly after their cat-fight as revenge for humiliating them, and then bind and gag them and shove them in a police van to be hauled off to jail. As I wrote the story, every time I got to the scene where the girls would escape it felt like it was slowing down the momentum of the story. Furthermore, I had planted the plot point of a mole in the police department and wanted to resolve that. I realized that if Ace did have someone on the inside, then he wouldn't just let the girls rot in prison like that, and after capturing Tanya, Lisa, and Shelly, would take the captured police women as hostages as well. 

So now I was in a bind since now the girls were still captives, which would alter my plan for volume 4. I don't want to get too into it, as I'll reveal more when I do my commentary for volume 4 next month, but plans changed a bit for 4 and what the characters would be doing in that story. 

But since Ace now had Felicia, Gina, and the others, I needed a way for Shelly to get them back, hence the introduction of the FBI ladies. At one point I had conceived a story of several mature ladies who go to the beach for vacation and run across a group of kidnappers. This was meant to be a stand alone story but was going to be set in Marston's Pointe, where the women would unknowingly come across Ace's men, but would have no other connection to DA beyond that. As I thought of this story more, I decided to tie it directly into the main DA storyline and made the women FBI agents, deciding to introduce them as an obstacle for Shelly before taking bigger roles in Volume 4. As we know, Shelly does deal with the FBI ladies in her quest to get the girls back, and leaves them with quite a sexy punishment when they get in her way.

But back to the ending. After I decided not to have it be Gina and Felicia who humiliate and kidnap Tanya and Shelly, I decided to have it be Jack and The Queen, with Brad revealing that he was aligned with them as well. Despite the character changes, the outcome was going to be the same: Tanya and Shelly get shoved in a van and driven off to an unknown fate, and that's the last we see of them. As I wrote this volume though, I found that had a lot of fun writing these characters, and came up with some future perils for them, so I decided not to write them out and keep them around for future stories. Of course, you'll all have to stick around to see what I have up my sleeve for these poor milfs in upcoming adventures :)
