Shelly Arnold

Today’s Damsels Anonymous character model is femme fatale Shelly Arnold.

Shelly’s husband was a small time criminal that attempted to position himself as a rival to Marston Pointe’s biggest crime lord, Ace but found himself in jail after Ace sold him out to law enforcement. After he was sent to prison, Shelly divorced her husband and took control of his small criminal enterprise, setting her sights on taking down Ace and positioning herself as top criminal in her small town.

Shelly’s ambitions placed her in opposition with her neighbor and reporter Tanya Donnelly and the two developed a rivalry. As part of her plan for taking down Ace, Shelly had her henchwoman and assistant Lisa spy on Ace’s organization by working as a low level enforcer. At one point Shelly even tried using Sheriff Felicia Fetters as a pawn in her plans against Ace.

After model Jessica Lannon accidentally stumbled across incriminating evidence against Ace, Shelly and Lisa kidnapped her in the hopes of using what she knew against the mysterious crime lord, but ultimately Jessica fell into the hands of The Queen, Ace’s second in command. After that Shelly forged an uneasy alliance with Tanya by convincing the other woman that the new Sheriff Gina and her cohorts Caitlyn and Eva were really working for Ace. Tanya assisted Shelly and Lisa in kidnapping the three women as part of Shelly’s plan to take control of the Sheriff’s Department and staff it with officers loyal to her.

Shelly eventually double-crossed Tanya, who sold her out to Ace. With Felicia, Janet, Gina, Caitlyn, and Eva all as her captives, Shelly struck a deal to sell them to the trafficker known as “Red”. Her plan though was complicated by her “ex-step-son” Brad re-entering her life, and he soon revealed that he was working for Ace and assisted in kidnapping both Shelly and Tanya.

Shelly was now a prisoner of The Queen alongside Tanya, Felicia, and Jessica, but during an escape attempt Jessica and Felicia tried to spirit Shelly away with them in order to get revenge on her. Though Felicia and Jessica were caught, Shelly was left wrapped in duct tape in the back of a truck, eventually falling out on a back country road. She discovered a farm that was a front for a drug operation and attempted to take control of it by posing as annFBI agent but the farmers took Shelly prisoner and forced her to work on the farm. Unknown to them, Shelly was being pursued by the bounty hunter Lustra, who attacked the farmers in an attempt to bring Shelly back to The Queen. During the confusion, Shelly found herself bound, gagged, and wrapped in a hay bale and tumbling down a hill and into the back of a passing truck headed out of town.

Shelly’s whereabouts at the beginning of Damsels Anonymous volume 5 are unknown.
