As per the last dev-log, I mentioned I was going to expand some of the earlier scenes. This work is now completed and puts them to a 100% (Green circled area). What I thought was going to be maybe about 25 additional renders, turned into 50, and then 75, finally ending on a 115... 🙄They're currently being rendered out overnight and I feel like my machine is doing overtime. I haven't shut it down at all for well over a month, and I'm not sure how healthy it is to keep it running for that long! 🥵
I can finally move over to the other branch for a while. I'd like to say that this is the final stretch, but I'm not sure yet how long it will take to complete it. It could be a long stretch. I'm starting somewhere in the middle (yellow circled area), as there are two stages to this branch that require a changing environment. I have to start at the final stage, as that'll determine what the earlier stage will look like. I'll work my way backwards from there.
As mentioned some dev-logs ago, I started converting some older gen8 characters to 8.1. Some characters that are exclusively featured on Ivan's branch, now have to have this conversion applied as well. So in short, a bit of environment work and a bit of character work.
Not much else to report on and the preview is random, and has nothing to do with what I've done these last couple of days. 😁

2024-07-28 22:51:10 +0000 UTCSo do I, I wish I started doing these diagrams a bit earlier... would have saved me a lot anxiety and stress, simply by keeping visual track of how much closer it gets every time I tick one off. I keep track internally on Trello, but it's nowhere near as visual as this. Backups happen every week. I hope to invest in some NAS setup at some point, but I can't afford that right now. I think the PC will be fine, I just never had it run this long at home. 😅

2024-07-28 15:48:12 +0000 UTCLove those green circles 😍. As for the computer, back up everything before turning it off. When it tries to turn back on is when the crying usually starts 😭. Modern computers are very tough though. Probably nothing to worry about 🤔.
