This takes place just before Weiss & Yukiko infiltrates Armstrong's castle. Rayne after being knocked out, is brought back to Morrigan's castle. The Vampire Faction performs tests on her Hunter abilities and see it as an advantage to their goals. Under new ruler, the upcoming Queen takes her stand, ensuring that Rayne never becomes the Queen of the Vampires.

Hmm yes, being able to revive all those dead Rayne clones would make for a pretty huge advantage in a war. It further supplement's the Queen's scary power. Curious to see how all this plays out.
