I was waiting to post this, since I was hoping for a small change to the phoenix to make it slightly more masculine, but I haven't heard back in a while, so I'm going to just put this out for now.

I really like it. And would like to add, birds don't tend to look masculine, it is best to aim to not look like dinner.

2025-11-26 18:22:45 +0000 UTCEvery book should have a map that centers on the area that the book takes place in. Along with, at least, showing all the places the mc goes to. The person that does the maps would have to read the books and pay attention to the places the mc actually goes to and keeps track of them. And yes, it would require a bit more effort to get it done right. But, it would be worth it, in the end. But, that only happens if the person doing it actually cares about getting it right. Sadly, so few don't.

She just needs to incorporate it, but I haven't heard from her in a few weeks. She'll probably check back in and get to it eventually, although I hope nothing went wrong.

In birds, the males are the ones with often extravagant and/or useless plumage. Are you sure that's the way you want to go? ;) Edit: and the map is gorgeous (just as the soon to be fabulous phoenix)! Will there be a high-res version to put on the wall? And which of the islands around Stormhill did Kelin just burn to cinders?
