Porting my ER mod into NR. The ER mod is available on Nexus for free.
Fully physical mod replacing all characters and all their skins in NR. See images for more details.
The mod files are structured in a way that one 'regulation.bin' file is compatible with any combination, i.e., if you only want the Duchess or you want both the Ironeye and the Revenant, just use the same 'regulation.bin' file.
The uploaded skin files are compressed by characters, otherwise it's gonna be one big 4 GB file.
The regulation.bin provided is for NR v1.01.3.
A CSV file is also provided, so that for any future updates, you could just use Smithbox to import the said CSV file to update the new regulation.bin, without the need to wait for me to update it, which I actually don't have a plan to maintain. Smithbox is easy to use and there are plenty of tutorials on YT.
You can get the latest version of Smithbox here: https://github.com/vawser/Smithbox/releases
If you want to use UXM (loading loose files with manual backup), then follow the steps below.
Get UXM here: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/1651
Do read the UXM page carefully for instructions
Run UXM, click 'Browse' to locate the NR executable. You can find where it is via Steam
Then, click the 'Unpack' button
After unpacking, click the 'Patch' button
Go to the NR installation folder, you will see a bunch of folders and files
Backup the 'regulation.bin' in NR's installation folder to somewhere on your hard drive
Go to the 'parts' folder in NR's installation folder, back up the files to be replaced by this mod (cross checking the RARs on this page)
Replace the 'regulation.bin' and the DCX files with the files from this mod
Disable EAC, check out YT or follow this: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenringnightreign/mods/5
Launch NR, choose to play SOLO (this is IMPORTANT)
Then it should work
If you are brave enough to embark on using Mod Engine 3 (ME3), then follow the steps below.
Get ME3 here (you will need at least v0.5.0): https://github.com/garyttierney/me3/releases
Install it by running 'me3_installer.exe' and follow the onscreen instructions
Validate the installation by opening command prompt and run the following code:
me3 --help
If you see something like this, then the installation is successful
Then, write a *.me3 profile so that ME3 could load the mod. See ME3's documentation for that. I've uploaded an example profile for your reference.
Double click your ME3 profile and then ME3 should automatically launch NR for you with the mod
Note that, if you had used UXM before to unpack and patch NR, then you might need to use UXM to perform a Restore before ME3 could function normally
