Level One God Launch Day! Ebook and Audio now available on Amazon!

Level One God is finally live on Amazon as an ebook and audiobook! I'm also excited to say John Pirhala is narrating the audio. If you're not familiar with him, he did amazing work on books like Accidental Champion, Cultivation Nerd, and even Mickey 17.

I'm probably most excited to see what everyone thinks about the revisions to book 1. There are tons of completely new scenes and even brand new chapters, and there's not a page or sentence I didn't go back through with a fine-toothed comb. Despite my best efforts, I thought the original version that published on Royal Road and Patreon fell short of my standards, and I'm really eager to see what readers think of the story now that I spent months shaping it into the best version I could.

One of my goals with the revisions was to make the story feel worth revisiting if you enjoyed it the first time around. I didn't want readers to feel like some sentences just got tightened here and there. I wanted it to feel like a deeper dive into the world you already enjoyed but also a cleaner journey. I've touched on it at various points with you guys here, but just know that especially book 1 had a major, major facelift.

I'll also note for those who don't know: borrowing a book through KU and reading about 10-20% of it seems to count toward the book's sales ranking. So even if it feels like something you're doing for "free" might not help much, it's actually a giant boost to the book and very much appreciated. And of course if you're able to, sales, ratings, or reviews on Amazon also go a really long way!

With all that said, you guys have already gone above and beyond supporting me and the story by being members here on Patreon. So please don't feel any pressure to spend money on the Amazon content unless it actually sounds worth it to you, or you've already got KU and don't mind borrowing it to check out the changes.

There are several completely free ways to help the launch, though, and if anybody has the time and energy to do these, it's hugely appreciated.

(Again, please don't feel any pressure to do these things. I just want to share things I know can absolutely help book launches for anybody who wants to help and has the time)

1) Leave a rating or review on Amazon. This helps readers obviously, but it also is valuable to Amazon's algorithm in getting books on its radar and hopefully pushing their visibility.

2) Tell other people about the book! I think this genre thrives on word-of-mouth much more than most. If you've got a friend who likes to read, maybe think about suggesting L1G to them. Or even better, if you're active on any social media outlets where people talk about books like reddit.com/r/litrpg, reddit.com/r/progressionfantasy, Facebook groups, tiktok, etc, please consider posting about the story or even fishing around for a place where people are asking for recommendations and mention L1G if it fits.

One fun thing I see often on the litrpg and prog fantasy subreddit are tier lists posted by readers. Usually, the same 10-20 books get posted in those every time, and I think it gives a ton of visibility to those authors. I always peek at them in hopes I'll see Level One God on someone's tier list, but I never have. So if you can't think of a type of post to make, you could just make a tier list post and include Level One God wherever it fits for you in your lit RPG tiers.

3) Borrowing through Kindle Unlimited. If you're already a member, it's free to borrow books through KU as you probably know. As far as I know, borrowing the book by itself doesn't actually provide any kind of ranking or algorithm boost. So if you did want to help boost those things, the common belief is that Amazon counts a borrow like a sale once you read about 10-20% of the book. That said, I don't want to ask people to cheat the system and just flip through pages to give a fake borrow. But if you do want to check out the changes and you borrow the book and read through KU, just know you're helping as much as if you purchased it directly.

Last but not least, I really wanted to express my gratitude to you guys on Patreon. It still blows my mind how generous some readers are in this genre and I'm regularly humbled when I think about how many of you have financially supported this story at various points and in some cases, from the very start.

And just for a quick update on book 4 while I've got your attention: I'm about 55,000 words into book 2 of my romantasy now and aiming for 150,000. I actually have a deadline from my publisher of January... 5th or something like that? And I believe I'll have no problem hitting it. So for the moment, it looks like we're still on track for book 4 of Level One God to start up around January for Patreon.

Thanks for all the support!

Zack

Congrats! Been enjoying the audiobook greatly. I will say it's a bummer knowing that, after I finish this book, I cannot return to reading L1G on RR or Patreon without accepting the break in continuity. Do the chapters sync up after book two?
