Rafal had made so many mistakes in his life that failing to protect Veyle is just another one to add to the list. He still can redeem himself by trading places with the special "training" their captor has in mind. But its not the slave trader he has to fear. It's his potential buyer that will make him second guess his sacrifice.
Drugged, beaten and stripped of his pride in the name of "training", Rafal has no choice but to let his mouth be abused by the potential buyer. It's all he can do while he hopes that Alear and Nel figure out what happened and come rescue both him and Veyle.
