September Models Reveal

Hey friends!

Time to talk about September models! But first, if you've been following our posts, you should remember that we are trying to streamline our release schedule and get out of the constant delays that we've been experiencing this year. We are finally putting this plan in motion next month by preparing our October models ahead of our usual schedule. The plan is to spread out our workflow and release three times a month: on 5th, 15th, and 25th. Obviously, we couldn't adjust our schedule without either closing for one month or enlisting some external help to hold the fort. After much deliberation, we went with the second approach. In other words, all September models will be created by guest artists. However, our team will still take care of cuts and pre-supports to ensure the consistent experience for our patrons.

And now, let's talk about the guest artists!

When Makoto won the poll, I immediately knew who I was going to invite to create her. I've been following Rafaela Mello (a.k.a. Nympha3D) for a while and even spoke to her about a potential commission a couple months back. On her Patreon, she has one of the best Ann Takamaki models I've seen and her love of Persona easily rivals my own. It really was a no-brainer to offer her this project and I am very glad she accepted it.

The second project was a bit tricky, for we didn't have specific project or artist in mind. However, I've come across Ukupalua's magnificent work a number of times lately and decided to try my luck. Now, imagine someone contacting you and essentially saying: "How would you like to sculpt anything you like and get paid for it?", because that's pretty much what happened. Ukupalua immediately threw some character suggestions, which included Fate among them. And when I mentioned how Baobhan Sith appeared on our poll a couple times, the response was, quote, "BAOBHAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! THAT'S IT! MA GIRL!". At that point we both knew the decision had been made.

Lastly, there was a matter of third project. This time I knew exactly what I wanted, Karlach from Baldur's Gate 3, yet I couldn't think of any available artist whose style would be a good match. In my desperation, I asked Nerikson, because he'd surely know someone. And he most certainly did, for he introduced me to Ulysses Finamore! Let me tell you, when a person comes with a personal recommendation from Ernest Nemirovsky, you know you have nothing to worry about! Ulysses has shown much professionalism in our interactions so far, and I am very excited to see the fruit of his efforts!
