Waifu Showdown September Update Preview, Update Release Delay & Important Notice
Added 2025-09-29 18:31:34 +0000 UTCHello everyone, since the new Waifu Showdown update coming out this week it's finally time to share the information about new content for this month.
NEW CHARACTERS
Keeping up the tradition, after a while the roster will get new additional characters in a total number of 8. This time the characters weren't picked from a single title. The reason why I do not intend to focus on one anime anymore is because of the plans for the future features that will require a big variety of titles.
There are currently six of them on the preview, because I haven't finished rigging the last two.
NEW ANIMATIONS
New content from this part is mostly dedicated to the new takedown mechanic and new grabs exclusive to this mechanic. Currently I am busy polishing those animations to achieve better quality.
RELEASE DELAY
Unfortunately the new version will not come out tomorrow but is postponed around the end of this week. I've underestimated the amount of work the new models and animations required and I am sorry for this. On top of that the new health system is not coming out this month because of the amount of bugs that appeared when I started replacing the systems.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please, accept my apologies for the delay, but if you want to get the new update of Waifu Showdown once it's out and support the project further - the new version will be exclusive for the Player Tier and higher supporters, so make sure you own the tier you really want.
