Upcoming September Update, New Features & New Poll

Hello, everyone, it's finally time for the news about the upcoming update of Waifu Showdown! So let's talk about planned new features and content and how it will affect the gameplay as a whole.

NEW COMBAT MECHANICS

Further development of the combat system introduces the new fighting mechanic - A TAKEDOWN. The animations are not completely finished yet but the mechanic is intended to allow the player to put the opponent on their back faster and access the animations further down the grappling sequence a bit easier.

PLANNED FEATURES

The long-awaited return of the unique paragraph where I point out the features that are planned for the update but due to their either individual size or complexity not all of them might make it in time.

NEW HEALTH SYSTEM

The health system is supposed to go through an overhaul this month and get tied to the new combat mechanics but more about that in the upcoming post.

NEW CHARACTERS AND NEW MOVES

The content regarding this topic is also going to be revealed in more detail later, but for now there are 8 new characters total currently in the making and 4 or 5 of them are gonna be from the same title.

THE NEW POLL

Speaking of new characters it's finally time for the new poll where you decide characters from which title or anime universe in general. The options from the poll are both my personal preferences and were suggested by supporters of Waifu Showdown.

If you can't find your favourite title in the options below - you can always message me in the comments, personal messages on Patreon, or join my Discord to let me know which characters you want to see in the next updates!

The rules of this poll are simple. You can vote once for as many available options as you want, but keep in mind, the more options you pick - the more time I will have to spend to add as many popular characters from the chosen titles as possible. The top 8 titles will be picked and most suitable female characters from those titles will appear in the future updates!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Also, changing the topic for an important notice, the latest update and new updates of Waifu Showdown will be exclusive for the Player Tier supporters and above. So if you want to support the project further and want to get the latest version of the game - make sure you have that tier, because last month I switched the benefits for the Advanced Tier and Player Tier.
