One piece is my favorite story in all media, I’ve always been a super fan of Starwars, and after watching it, it came on top of it, I started watching it after the last movie came out, around February 2023 I started it, and only in 3 months I finished it, got so invested I started reading the manga that same day I caught up, and now I read it weakly, it’s an amazing journey and worth every second favorite anime and everything now 👌🏻

One Piece has a phenomal overall story and world but the lenght and dragging of some arcs pulls my overall rating of the show down. There is just so much unnecessary stuff and superfluous characters that serve no purpose. If the story of One Piece was told in a quarter of the episodes it has now (or maybe even less) it might be the best anime ever

2025-03-30 13:01:28 +0000 UTCi prefer the smaller anime over One Piece except for Dragon Ball/z/super/gt/daima like Fruits Basket, Code Geass, Parasyte though some One Piece arcs surpass them

2025-03-30 10:30:48 +0000 UTCGood question. I didn't watch too many animes but One Piece is my favorite. Thing is, as an anime it has some flaws. It doesn't have the best fights, nor the best animation (gets much better way later though) and certainly not the best pacing. But the story/storytelling is my favorite and the GOOD moments are hands down the best moments I experienced in any media. Nothing else made me feel the emotions One Piece did. The fact it's so long is both its strength and weakness - the length can be exhausting but it makes the good moments really hit. And I don't actually generally suggest it to people who don't watch anime, I suggest something like AoT or FMAB because they're a lot more compact.

2025-03-29 21:42:14 +0000 UTCOne Piece is one of my favorites but it's never been on the top. Fullmetal Alchemist and Steins;Gate have been the ones normally at the very top for me.
