A few things that have been revealed in both deleted scenes and by Alex Hirsch himself about this episode: There was supposed to be a scene of Robbie buying the cd, and Alex said that the backwards messages don't even work because you can't understand them. So Wendy really did just find it sweat and didn't get hypnotized by the CD, and Robbie didn't know anything about the message on the cd. I mostly say this because of how perceptions can be colored of Robbie based on this episode.
