Ladies from the 80’s: Wonder Woman (Super Powers)

So we’ve gone from a character I was mostly unfamilliar with to one I have drawn many times! I think some of us associate Wonder Woman more with the 70’s, between the live action show starring Lynda Carter and the SuperFriends cartoon. But that cartoon in it last season evolved into a staple of the 1980s: a tie-in to an action figure line, namely Kenner’s Super Powers collection! Some of the cast and characters remained, but all were redesigned to resemble the legendary DC style guides by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez. Diana here got a new hairstyle, her WW chest emblem, and the white stripes added to her boots. She also got a new voice actress— the legendary B.J. Ward, also known for G.I. Joe’s Scarlett, Voltron’s Princess Allura, and of course one Dr. Betty Ross!

It was nice having an excuse to draw this more traditional version of Wonder Woman again! The modern look is fine, but this is closer to what I grew up with.

I’ve already pulled the next name, and it’s a bit more of a deep cut! Popular show, but not as prominent a character. Any guesses?
