Tc Ep 252 Script

at resistance hq. tiraa hugging keelee.

T: it should just be a few days max in case we need to hide along the way, you’ll be fine here with Cici and the others.

KL: but why do you have to go??

T: (looks at cyras) because i made a promise and I have to see it through. We’ll all be fine, and back before you know it, then we’ll track down that brother of yours and get you to your aunt.

(both look up as cyras approaches. tiraa steps back)
C: (holds out scarf) it’s been getting colder. you said you didnt have one, so.

KL: (blinks before taking it hesitantly. Cyras goes to walk away.) just…make sure you come back, ok? both of you.

T: (smiles) we will.

Del in front of Major, who’s still handcuffed. Perig is missing

Del: You haven’t decided to fight for the cause, Major? Even now that you know the truth?

M: I’m surprised they’re allowing you to go.

D: (looks away) Cepni made it very clear this is my only chance to prove myself to them, and they’re just desperate enough for all the able-bodies they can get that they even considered giving me that chance. I’m grateful for it. I don’t think I properly appreciated what they’re fighting for here before I went back to the City with my eyes open. 

M: So eager to disappoint your father once more?

D: sometimes, i think there was a part of me that wanted your approval more than my father’s even. but that was just as unsurmountable, it seems. (turns to go) Perig’s helping. Maybe it’s time for you to reconsider which side of history you want to be on, too. 

tiraa and cyras smoking. brek sees and goes to say something, but cyras raises eyebrow and brek walks away.

T:We’re finally getting your Murder back. Will you really be ok if they don’t want anything to do with you after?

C: they shouldnt want anything to do with me after all the lies I fed them.

T:...what will you do, instead? Where will you go?

C: wherever you go. be that to find the kid’s family, or to figure out how to exist in the new world. the Ashguard won’t have me back after I went against orders, there’s nothing for me here without my Murder, now that Duune is…decimated.  I’m not someone who knows how to live without dedicating my life to something worthwhile. 

(looks straight at her and she blushes, realising what he’s implying) 

T: I -

(cepni approaches, Del in tow. hand out little boxes)

C: everyone take one, they’re to be ingested if you’re captured. I didn’t approve of his testing methods (looks at del) but since he’s been in captivity for days and we don’t have the entirety of Kooup’s airforce on our doorstep, it seems they have proved effective. 

D: (opens box to see green Lars pill. Turns white) L-Lars was…here? Working…here? 

(Lulu comes up behind, rests hand on his back. Vulture watches)

Lulu: take a deep breath. he had nothing to do with the food. we’re all fine. you’re fine. 

Rhaast: you know we’re going to rescue him too, right? You don’t have to come, kid.

D: (pulls himself together, determined. Makes eye contact with Cyras) I’m coming. (quieter, to rhaast as everyone walks away) just…don’t let me see him though, ok Rhaast?

r: I’ll keep him away from you, kid. Don’t worry.

lars laughing in cell, then suddenly stops. throws up. vomits up tiny laser. uses it to break restraints, make hole in door control panel, take out cameras, shoot through guard neck. gets to control room, disables barriers and locks. 

lars: honestly, were they even trying. (locates warden) Warden’s in interrogation rooms. He might be a problem (locates crow Murder cell) targets confirmed. and…(pans to cell next to ky dad, showing farrah’s mentor) there you are. finally. Well, the resistance is good to go. they better be in position, things are about to get interesting (overrides system and pushes button to cut power. The lights go out)

Neekia hears the click of the door and looks up as everything goes dark and the safety lights come on. 

Deacon: you heard that, right?

N: is that…shouting? 

D: something’s happening. everyone stay close. we’re getting the fuck outta here. 

the resistance gathered on the hill looking down at the prison. 

(Cyras to tiraa): dont do anything reckless. 

T: Only if you don’t, either. 

(the prison barrier flickers out, along with the laser barrier above the middle recreation area, all the lights turning off)

Cepni: He managed it. That’s our queue. Everyone remember your instructions. Go

a guard looks around as the barrier disappears, turns to other guard

guard: alert the -

resistance all fly down in swarm, taking guards out. cyras leads, charging in and shooting. tiraa gets held up by guards coming out a door and loses sight of him

T: Cyras -

fights off guard, brek smacking guard with gun from behind

T: i was fine -

B: i know

breks runs off, tiraa follows. chaos. prisoners huddle in hallways. cepni helps Hu down corridor. tiraa runs passed Garrek, then lars

Garrek cowering: im innocent, im innocent, just let me - (crawls down hall)

Lars, standing in front of open cell door.

L: sorry for taking so long.

Madam Paylette (farrah’s mentor): is my little vacation over, then? shame, I was just beginning to feel rested.

L: sorry to cut it short, but we’ve got work to do mother.

MP: that we do, my boy. that we do.

cyras rounds corner and comes face to face with his Murder.

(younger crows): Cyras!

Neekia: (whispers) Cyras

Deacon: (eyes narrow) let me guess, you’re rescuing us after getting us captured in the first place after you lied to us about everything and -

C: save the vitriol for when we’re out of here, will you Deacon. everyone get to the rec yard, they should be finished with the barrier already. 

D: we’re not following you -

N: stay here, then. Anyone who wants freedom, get your asses in gear. let’s go!

(all running through hallways, cyras leading with gun. get through door with other people into small yard in the middle of building. others are evacuating through blasted out dome ceiling. Del flying an old lady through, tiraa helping a shot brek stay airborne. sees cyras and the crows)

T: he found them, thank Icarus -

Cyras waiting for everyone to take off, Neekia turns to him

N: cy -

Cyras: go. I’m right behind you.

everyone takes off, cyras follows behind. the warden steps out of the doorway.

guard: backup generators are still on standby

W: excellent. turn them on.

theres a hum, lights turning on as cyras climbs. del notices and dives to reach him, hand outstretched. the laser barrier flickers back into existence. the tips of del’s fingers are severed. a laser whip wraps around cyras, pinning his wings. he looks at tiraa as he falls. she screams silently.

This one was a touugghhh write. It's gonna take me so long to draw with all the characters in every scene r.i.p. my hand haha.
