tiraa walking down corridor next to reamer. it’s tense. she has a hand in pocket, gripping phone.

T:(the warden was just back there, why didn’t reamer alert him and have me arrested? (grips phone harder) I can’t risk Cyras getting caught before I even know if there’s any danger, and if I’m honest I don’t plan on calling for him anyway, at least if he’s still out there, keelee has a chance of escaping. i would be lying if i said having this phone wasnt comforting, though. what’s reamer playing at? i can’t read him. i’ve never been able to, really, but that’s not the point -)

Reamer stops by cell. (why has he -) sees neekia behind door (that’s - NEEKIA! they’re here. thank icarus. thank icarus.)

R: this is what you came for, correct? to confirm that they’re in here? I assume you wouldn’t be stupid enough to think you could break them out, at least. regardless of how idiotic is was that you even came in here in the first place. come.

T: ( now i just need to message Cyras that I’ve seen them without reamer noticing…and then after that it won’t matter what happens to me-)

R: that crow still has your ring, you know. the one i gave you for our engagement. i assume its the real one, and that you wore a fake one to our wedding? were you the reason for the crows disrupting the service, then? were the rumors about your affair with the Boss true, after all?

T: they were there for me. i made a deal with them.

R: that Osprey half-breed chick was part of the deal also, i take it? since she went mysteriously missing the same day.

T: i had to get her out. your mother would’ve kept her caged for the rest of her life.

R: perhaps. her disappearance has given me a good excuse to dig deeper into this Island without raising suspicion from my mother, regardless.

T: you’re - you’re not actually looking for her? for any of us?

R: it’s good to know where you are, but no, i don’t actually care so long as you and that Crow keep yourselves out of sight. I initially wanted to know why my mother kept that chick locked away, but i stumbled upon something bigger, which she may still be a part of. the chick went with her brother, I take it? since that trio are missing, also?

T: I - yes. do you…know where Cedoc went?

r looks at her. she’s sent (they’re here) on phone and has thumb hovering over send button after typing (take keelee). theyve made it to the reception.

recep: thank you for your visit, Commissioner Imperius, Mrs. Imperius.

R: thank you for accommodating us.

tiraa is surprised when they walk by and he doesnt say anything. they get outside and he doesn’t look at her.

T: why?

R: the Government lied to us. about the rest of the world being destroyed. I suggest you find a way to get there. leave all this behind.

T: you’re letting me go?

R: one of us should be free from it all, Tiraa. it’s better if it’s you.

walks away. tiraa watches him go.

flies back to cyras, hill is empty when she lands.

T: cyras…? where -

he lands from tree in front of her, startling her.

C: are you hurt? did they do anything -

hands on her face, turning gently from side to side.

T: I-I’m fine. well, i think i am.

C: i got you’re message - they’re in there, then? you saw them?

T: i saw neekia and that guy with the ponytail, i assume the rest were also there. but you know that car we saw arrive? it was reamer. i didn’t even know he knew how to drive -

C: that bastard was there and you didn’t immediately message me to get you out?!

T: what would you have done, Cyras? he’s the chief commissioner now, apparently. he couldve had the entire force down on us both in seconds.

C: why didn’t he?

T: …i don’t know. but he seemed…different. when he left me he looked…sad, almost.

C: maybe the bastard finally grew a conscience.

T: …i think he’s seen too much of what goes on here, things he’s been unknowingly involved in, and i think it might be slowly destroying him.
