I do believe some of the movies have episode spoilers so it might be better to watch them in order. If it's not too presumptuous, I could link a playlist with the video order. Piccolo is from Namek along with Kami, who is...spoilers I guess. The rest of the Z fighters are human, including Tien and Chiaotzu. Popo is...I dunno, they probably explained in Dragon Ball but I don't remember.
