P: and look where it got us.

C: you didn’t have to follow us. You weren’t under orders.

P: i couldn’t let the Major go off on a mission by himself, i’d miss out on all the action and i’ve never really done anything interesting before. Though to be honest, i didn’t think there’d be this much action. I’m kind of over it.

L:...why is he keeping you here? Weren’t you just sent to look for him when he was missing?

M: we’ve seen him, we know where he is and what he’s doing and he doesn’t want us to report back. Doesn’t want to be forced away from this little fantasy he’s playing at. But he’s also too chicken-shit to kill us. So we’re stuck here, freezing to death.

L: he does seem a lot better here, though. I can see why he wouldn’t want to go back.

M: does he seem better, or is he just happier because he has more control over the young people here than he ever had over his own life?
