As though they’re automatically opposed and no trans person could ever be feminist/no feminist could ever be trans, as though trans women are not women. Literal TERF. There is no debate if one person wants the other person to stop existing. Loved your reaction!

That being said, my celeb crush atm is Kit and when he says the words "I want you" I just melt (every time!)... So yeah, JB is hot and everything, but Kit owns my heart ❤️

2024-11-13 15:28:23 +0000 UTCFor those who haven’t yet read Alice’s books and/or comics, and are interested in getting into them for the Heartstopper journey, I would highly recommend starting with Solitaire. It’s mainly Tori’s story, and as other’s have said, it’s significantly darker than what we now know as Heartstopper. Don’t worry, I’m going to be a good Mod and I won’t give any more spoilers than that! The reason I bring it up is that Alice wrote Solitaire well before Heartstopper became a thought in their mind, and they were in their late teens at the time, I believe. Some of Charlie’s journey post-treatment is covered in the book, and you can find some of it in the back half of this season as well, including this episode. So I just wanted to give a timeline to anyone looking to go on a chronological book/comic reading deep dive. We can’t post outside links here, per our community guidelines, but Alice’s website has helpful timelines about their books with more details. Happy reading! 💜

Like, wow! She is just brilliant! I do love the next to episodes as well to be honest, and I think Josh and Alex will too... Even though JB is not in them 🤪

2024-11-07 03:20:12 +0000 UTCYayyy I’ve been looking forward to this!! I love Geoff!! I think it’s nice to be able to banter with your therapist, it means you feel safe in their presence. I also really like that they kept in the food argument. It’s a lot darker in Solitaire but it’s pretty spot on from the comics even with Joe and Kit improvising that scene. I think episode 6 is one of my favorites. Flustered Nick is just too adorable. The interview with Elle made me FURIOUS though. Poor girl just wanted to talk about her art. Also thought it was perfect for Charlie to be the one to walk Tara through a panic attack (even while intoxicated) as it shows just how much he’s learned. And omg I love Michael! He’s one of my favorites. He’s originally from Solitaire and we get more of his story there but he’s just the sweetest guy

I’m not sure why I like feeling sad when I watch them—maybe it’s the hope that comes out of episode 4. The music has been unreal this season as well! I’ll never be able to listen to Black Friday without thinking of Nick’s face as Charlie is being driven away.

2024-11-06 05:55:22 +0000 UTCThe scene where Charlie takes off his shirt and is looking at his scars in the mirror was the most powerful for me of the season. I had to pause the show and take a moment. As someone who struggled with SH really badly in high school, it was one thing having people know that I dealt with that, but a whole other thing for them to actually see my scars. It took me so long to feel comfortable wearing clothes in public that showed them. Now, 10 years later, I rarely think about them. They are a part of my story, but that scene just took me right back and showed me how far I've come. Charlie will get there too. <3

I have felt like I have been the only one that has noticed that NickALWAYS ends up against the wall in make out sessions because I think its a subconscious trauma response from when Ben SA’d Charlie back in the very 1st episode. I mean, Nick doesn’t seem to mind, but as a survivor myself I its like a huge flashing neon sign to me. Love you girlz!

They were in tune with each other, Charlie spoke his anxieties, Nick was able to reassure him (I think the specific wording "I want you" is SO GOOD here and exactly what was needed) and the whole thing was awkward but the awkwardness didn't take anything away because that's just the natural and realistic way of things. I love it. Love it. Such a good and positive example.

Charlie's therapist talks about three months clean because Charlie has relapsed to self harm after the confrontation with Nick. So after that , no further self harm. These details were important to the story line.

2024-11-06 01:01:09 +0000 UTCI love how Nick was like "omg you're celeb crush you're in love" and then he has a major panic when he meets Jack 😂 I love that it only went as far as that with Nick's jealousy, I know of too many couples who's significant other gets insanely jealous over celeb crushes, like you know nothing could ever ACTUALLY happen right? Idk just my take that I'm happy Nick understood and was like yep ok I get it. Also so so important when Nick said the words "I want you" because someone can say they like\love you but hearing they want you in an intimate way is incredibly important, especially to someone who has self esteem issues or worse. The communication is just beautiful in this show 🥹
