Diggy Diggy Hole Chapter 27

Apparently, when you fed Ogre's enough food. They could break reality with their desire to get back to infinite food. Well... Not exactly, but when three times in a row some dumb fuck Ogre's find their way through random chaos portals and find their way to Karak Kadrin of all places.

Well, I couldn't help but think the ancestor gods were watching me, obviously.

"I doubt the Slayers will get here nearly as quickly as those stupidly lucky Ogre's got to them." I mused thoughtfully as I carefully put away the final letter that was sent back with those weird Ogres that had a talent for finding their way through Chaos Gates.

Honestly, I was thinking those particular Ogres were just stupid so the typical tricks used by chaos went over their heads. And they just wanted to deliver the letter, and then return here so they could have another fifty-gallon drum of soup they could down for brunch.

"Well, either way. A Dawi cannot allow his hospitality to be called lacking!" I said firmly as I stood up from my work table and went down to my basement.

I walked down to the large kitchens, and in the back, I could already see the twenty different standing ten-thousand-gallon tanks of different kinds of Dawi ale that had special effects.

Although with my reincarnation, I had only had Tinker's Construct added as a mod, and it only really had the older style of Tinker's stuff.

But I realized that as I worked, I could unlock more recipes from other mods as well like Pam's Harvest, which was another mod from the old days of minecraft.

I had no idea how many of my people were going to come here to escort me back home. With how I was a Runesmith, I had no doubt at least a hundred Dawi with full beards would be my honor guard but with the Slayer kind...

You could never know what the Great Doom Seeker was planning as his people in the Slayer's were looking for their Glorious Doom's to atone for their great sins one and all.

"So. Just to be certain. I should make three thousand servings of Miner's Stew. Well it's a good thing I can substitute the diamonds for any other crushed gems." I mused that Miner's Stew in Minecraft terms was overpowered as fuck.

It filled fucking thirteen hunger pieces and also gave the user thirty-two saturation while also giving the eater a three-hour strength and resistance buff. 

Giving every dawi who arrived such a hearty stew and a couple of tankards of very powerful ale that was also magical in nature was literally the best thing I could do besides welcome them with whole new suits of runic armor.

Thankfully... For better or worse, Miner's Stew only used one piece of organic material to make it. And that was rotten flesh, and what would you know. There were always some grots that tried to sneak into my hold from the Ogre camp that I could bash their heads in with a hammer.

And then just leave their forms to rot on a separate side of the hold.

The emergency meeting within the war council room of Nan Gau was dead silent as Miao Ying tapped her curved nail-tipped finger onto a metal plaque that had been engraved with a rune of durability and enchanted with the same enchantment, and glowed plainly.

"I will preface this meeting here and now... Someone is going to die at the end of this meeting." Miao Ying said quietly as her draconic cold eyes roamed the room.

"Dwarves, above all else, value their word and their contracts in their honor above all else. Above their very lives almost every single time without fail." She spoke calmly before her eye's landed on a woman in new runic armor that glowed in the same way as that plaque.

Then Miao Ying's stormy eye's moved aside to an official who stiffened before beginning to shake with utter horror. 

"Shi Hong, the Great Artificer... Would you send him subpar materials? Do you think even if he is blind, he woudn't notice?"

She shook her head before saying in almost amusement. "If it wasn't for the purity seals on you... I would have been sure you would be corrupted by the Great Enemy of the North. The fact that you broke a contract and betrayed Grand Cathay in such a stupidly self-destructive way just to line your own pockets is just-"

Miao Ying couldn't even finish her words as she was just done with the man who was responsible for the corruption and the piece of Longma dung that broke Kharn's patience clearly.

"My lady... I made a mistake, give me a squad of men with your approval, I am sure I can bring Kharn back and put it back to work!" He said hurriedly.

Miao Ying gave the man a dull look before she whispered. "Put... 'It' to work huh. Yes, perhaps it was my failure itself to allow fools that would look down on a foreign jade and think it a mere pebble that is this result." 

Violently cracking lightning filled Miao Ying's hand, and before the man could even stand up, a lightning bolt formed within her hands and then blasted a fist-sized hole through the man's chest and slammed into the wall behind him.

All the while, not hurting anyone else in the room with how tightly controlled Miao Ying controlled the lightning so that even men in full metal armor didn't get a single tingle.

The only harm they faced was the blinding light and the roar of the lightning, which deafened them.

But no one dared to complain. Whether it be the noble clan's generals who served Miao Ying's army directly. Or even the beautiful maids who merely lowered themselves into a bow and prostrated to the ground to avoid the gaze of the favored daughter of the Dragon Emperor.

"The contract was broken. That is true, my own honor stained by a greedy official ruining a loyal army that felt no exhaustion, felt no pain, being taken from Grand Cathay."

Miao Ying stood up from her throne and then said plainly. "Now... General Zhao Fulong, you and your Thunder Riders are to find where Kharn has left. He left under the guard of an Ogre clan, so find out where he is so I may bring the wayward child back and wipe away the insult he was given."
