Bloody Evolution Chapter 41

I was feeling nice and refreshed after spending so much romantic time with Pyrrha to say the least. One could say even I was floating on clouds as I made my way to back home in Lux's tower to see what she wanted.

And without much fanfare, besides dodged a water balloon that Nora threw at me before running away back into the massive workshop. I made my way up to Lux's entertainment level of the tower after texting her. To find out where she was.

"Master, I am here!" I called out as I entered the level, and I felt a pulse of Lux's mana in response so I just followed it after opening the door to the room Lux was in.

I blinked at seeing not being alone, as Summer Rose herself was right there as well. Sitting across from my master on the opposite couch.

"Lady Rose," I greeted her with a slight dip of the head. As although she wasn't a Sage, she was still the head of her Duke-ranked house and was known as the strongest below a Sage with her Silver Eyes.

Summer in turn, gave me a gentle smile that turned brittle as Lux snorted and said with actual annoyance. "Don't be so kind, Jake... She IS not a guest of mine!"

I raised an eyebrow at that, and I looked at Lux, who was stewing in some anger that made me utterly confused, honestly.

'Why is she angry? Did Summer do something?' I wondered.

I cleared my throat and then said in a more even tone so I didn't cause an explosion from my tempermental master. "I see."

Knowing all too well that saying more would invite misunderstandings between the two volatile women as I also knew Summer was fucking crazy, especially. I just sat down next to Lux.

Summer then cleared her throat gently with her taking a drink of her tea before she put down the tea and with her hands laying in her lap she spoke. "Jake, your next stage of training with how you have already set a foundation in magic and martial arts is clear."

She blinked, and I realized what she meant as she said simply. "You need to learn how to control your Silver Eyes, Jake... Especially if that wretch Lahmasu is going to be haunting you with its foul existence." 

Lux snorted quietly and muttered. "You all are making me out to be the worst master ever... It's one thing for Jake to get lessons from Fiora in melee, but taking Feixiao as another master has hurt my reputation as well!"

Yeah... The reputation of a master who couldn't guide their students was rather terrible. Not only on their own conduct. But with the strong 'Master for a day, father for a life' theme that even in Vale was rather strong.

My taking on another master in Feixiao not only made Lux look bad. But kinda made her out to be a cuck with how I was 'stolen' away. And stolen away by a faunus at that. Said Faunus, even being stronger than Lux herself only made it worse.

So Summer being here... Offering to teach me how to control my Silver Eye's was giving Lux yet another green hat to put on her head. Now she was stacking the cuckold hats at that, with how Goodwitch and Callia had offered to teach me as well.

"He needs to learn how to control his Silver Eye's not only to deal with the Grimm... But also the Church Luxanna. You know that all to well." 

I blinked at that and asked curiously. "Wait, how would the Silver Eye's help with the church? Wouldn't my eye's being active and strong make them even more active in going after me?"

Lux tsked at Summer's pointed look. But Summer gave me a gentle smile and said proudly. "As you know Jake, the Church's strength comes from taking threads of power from the God of Light himself. Which is anathema to the Grimm obviously."

At my nod, Summer's smile became cold, and she said coldly. "You ever wonder why the Church never tried to force the Rose family and other Silver Eyes into their service? It's because Silver Eye's are pure reflections of the God of Light's power. With our eye's we can dissolve and easily, with no effort, absorb any holy power called against us."

It struck me then. WHY the church went so fucking hard in sending such troublesome Sages and members of the church after me, and then abruptly giving up in force and subtle manipulations against me.

They knew they only had the one chance to force me under their control before I got ANY training at all with the eyes. And with Summer and Ruby here at Beacon and in Vale City itself, they knew they couldn't force anything using their Holy power against me.

My cultivation would lead me to become... Well above a galactic being at least. As the source of my cultivation manual was one of the high-tier Xianxia verses that went crazy with the solar system busting at the higher levels.

But the Silver Eyes, even in the cultivation terms they were powerful and especially useful as they would get me in touch with certain domains and concepts.

Either way. Now I just patted Lux's knee, who pouted as I asked gently. "Master, I have the Silver Eyes. Wouldn't it be a total waste if I didn't learn how to control them? What would the royal family, your friend Ravel, say if-"

Lux swatted my hand away with a snort as she said flatly. "I am not a child in need of coaxing Jake. It's just annoying that you are so talented in fields that even in my genius, I haven't touched and cannot help you in." 

Summer then carefully cut in. "Besides Jake. Due to your actions during the war, you also gained a lot of military merits. So it will be good for you to be seen in Vale City as celebrations are going on at us repulsing the first wave so cleanly."

"Not to mention. Ufufu, I would adore having you over at the Rose Manor. Ruby also rather dearly wanted you to come over, as she has been learning the Rose secret cookie recipes." Summer giggled with her ample breasts bouncing with the motion.

'Oh lord... Didn't Weiss want to hang out with me, and I imagine Pyrrha is going to be blowing up my phone in the next hour as she assumes I will be free. My 'harem' is already getting too dangerous!' I thought with horror.

Still. I did need to learn how to control my Silver Eye's regardless of anything. "So, when should I move in for this training? I assume this training with be taking a good while, hence why it's not happening here in Beacon then?"

To which Summer nodded with a firm look crossing her as she said seriously. "Correct Jake. The Rose family has had the Silver Eyes for a long time, which has also allowed us to learn secret methods of using holy and light magic that are secrets of the family. So you will need to learn them within my estate's walls."

For a brief moment, I wondered why they were offering secret magic kept by their family. And then my lips twitched as I recalled Ruby's clear crush on me. Hence if I became Ruby's husband... Well, we would be one big happy family wouldn't we?
