Kitsune in Teyvat Chapter 28

Ruin Guards, I hadn't come across any of them in my travels of causing/running away from the troubles I wandered into.

Also, I was perfectly aware that the Fatui truly were a trouble that was going to plague me now that I absorbed the power from two of the gnosis.

But these Ruin Guards were extremely dangerous to people stuck in with them in melee. Well normal people and like Hilichurls would get wrecked by them at least.

People with Visions, elemental powers and other forms of special power could deal with the base ones which was the big issue right now without 'too' much issue anyway.

And with four of us here now? In an actual formation of two melee fighters, and two ranged fighters, we were able to whittle them down and I didn't even need to use my secret Dendro powers as well!

After a good while of hunting down the Ruin Guards with my party, we settled down for some lunch in a cave that stopped the still frigid but no longer lethally biting cold winds fro hitting us.

"So... Kuma right? How long do you plan to stay an adventurer in Mondstadt? Or are you just passing through Mondstadt?" Eula questioned curiously.

And I shrugged before I said with an easy grin. "Oh, I am just going wherever the free wind takes me."

My words especially to the people of Mondstadt hit well as they all nodded with Bennet chuckling and asking with some excitment. "So you have done alot of traveling huh. Where have you been?"

To which my grin became a bit helpless as well... With the Fatui on my ass, half of my possible destinations had people hunting for me.

Yeah, Liyue damn near went to war with Sneznhaya after two of their Harbingers went to the Adepti to look for me as they want to absorb the energy from the Gnosis's within myself.

Still I said. "I was born in Inazuma obviously so I saw and did quite a bit there. But, I have also spent a good amount of time in Liyue, Sumeru, and now I have settled down a bit here in Mondstadt for a bit."

Well settled down for now... There was still a strong fatui prescence inside of Mondstadt, so odds are that I would need to get a move on to another factions land to get make sure I didn't bring the hammer on down onto Mondstadt.

'Maybe its time to return back home to Inazuma... I haven't heard anything from Ei about getting the secret to leaving this false world and entering the greater universe. But I can't help but wonder where we would end up?'

My lips twitched at the thought of me and Ei, coming out into like Honkai Impact 3rd, Zenless, or even Honkai Star Rail. But beyond the process of leaving the world, there was still the fact that Ei coudn't just leave Inazuma itself behind.

And in the most Ei fashion possible... I had little doubt she was considering how to cut the islands off the seabed and then take the islands into her bosom and hid said islands in her pocket demension in the Plane of Euthemyia.

"Oh so you been to more than half of the nations of Teyvat haha!" Bennet said with a laugh before he grinned and asked. "So what place has the best food huh?"

Unbidden I imagined Ei's pointed glare if I said Inazuma's food was crap... And then my heart pulled tight at the imagination of the adorable Nahida also pouting at seeing Sumeru's food wasn't the best.

So I just helplessly said. "The best food is within your own taste. The best comes from your heart being in it's best place."

"The Lightning Cutter's grand prince is right. One's taste and culinary delights while on adventures always has it's source in one's heart!" Fischl agreed with me with a fierce nod in agreement.

Then Eula cleared her throat after taking a drink and said. "Speaking of adventures, Kuma there is also a branch of the Treasure Hunter's that have been awakening these Ruin Guards. Do you have any issue with dealing with human criminals?" 

To which I blinked at that and said rather bluntly. "Nope, I am well aware that only criminals within the main cities are put in jail or dealt with. So I won't have any issue dealing with them then and there."

As Teyvat was still a death world, people that were out in the dangerous world causing issues to the few civilized places weren't just shoved into prison... Well maybe in Fontainne they were with how I heard Furina had a justice fetish of some kind.

Either way, with my will proven Eula nodded while Bennet sighed and began sharpening his sword. And I realized why he was putting a new edge on it.

He wanted to make sure that the people we were about to kill... Would be killed quickly and cleanly by a sharp blade.

Oz, Fischl's familiar then cleared his throat and then his deeper male voice spoke out. "Then while you four finish your lunch. How about I go scout things out. The winds have died out so I will be able to fly high without much issue."

And we all nodded with Fischl telling Oz. "Then go my familiar and regeant of darkness! Take vision of our foes so that we may lay them low!"
