Fate/Fool Chapter 19

After spending the rest of that day letting the elixer settle within myself. As well as flirting with and being pampered by Tamamo. The following day, it was time for me to get back on the grind to the Root/Infinite Power.

As being a proud card carrying member of the local Shadow Money Wizard Gang. I coudn't just spend the rest of my life living in the arms of Tamamo. I needed to learn more secret magics, I needed more taboo sorcery to bend the world to my whims!

And it was only with the last few days of heavy flirting and showing extreme affection to Tamamo that she 'allowed' me the to go see Nazica and Radia to continue our group project.

Once I got there, the twins were... A little annoyed with me as Nazica rather blandly muttered. "Well look who it is. The guy who decided that when given a group project. He would take an Enforcer mission across the world, then just waste half a week between lessons hiding in his dorm room."

With Radia, the more chill of the twins, saying still with some frustration. "We are literally planning on dream walking into the Realm of Shadows, a whole different Texture that is hostile to humanity, why did you just leave us hanging?"

To which I took a deep breath and said calmly, as their were complaints... To be fair, for our plan to break into the land of shadows. They were more than reasonable.

"I was working on stuff on my end of the ritual. Nazica, you are responsible for tethering our origin here. And I spent the last few days also making the Totems that will host and be the anchor for the Shadows we bind as familiars in the Land of Shadows." 

"Binding what amounts to be a shadow deamon to our souls is obviously dangerous so I had to take every precaution. And in that vein, I had the help of... Arguably one of the best mages in history, helping me do so." 

As despite Tamamo herself being a youkai and 'monster' she was also a priestess so Shinto methods of binding shikigami and spirits very much was a relevant thing to this plan of ours.

"And which great mage is this... And how the hell did you, a first-generation mage, get into contact with them?" Nazica muttered in bland disbelief at my bullshit.

To which... A heavier mana filled the air. The power of the Age of the Gods, and Tamamo's innate Divinity filled the air with pressure as she left Astral form from behind me.

And I stiffened as Tamamo's womanly form pressed into my back, her arms wrapped around my chest with her resting her chin on my shoulder as she said softly... But with naked steel in her voice towards the little mages.

"Tamamo No Mae is my name. Jake Bariss is my husband, and I am his wife, protector, mentor, and the most important woman in his life forevermore." 

The twins shared a look before Radia said in realization. "A servant... You have-" She shook her head and said in clear disbelief. "Lord Ell Mello II didn't say anything about the Grail coming active again. You literally have enough mana to support a servant without the Grail?"

I simply shrugged as that... It was a secret I as a magus, should be keeping to myself. Talking about my Six Eyes when there literally was an entire organization devoted to ripping special little eyes like my own out of my skull that also had a servant protecting it. Would be a bad fucking idea.

"So yes, arguably one of the best Casters in Asia's history also helped me on my side of the project. I didn't abandon you two."

And I heard Tamamo hiss behind me as she muttered. "He is already soothing the hearts of these two little girls. What is a little Tamamo to do when!?"

To which I just patted her arms around me and said. "Alright Tamamo, please go back to your astral form so we can focus."

I felt Tamamo's arms tighten around me before she huffed and her arms faded away from around me. And then it was an awkward silence as the twins gave me searching looks.

Obviously, unsure of what to say after that display. Still I took a deep breath and continued. "Back to business then. Nazica, how is the binding method to keep our bodies safe from wandering dream deamons and such?"

Our conversation then switched back to technical terms as we quickly began ironing out what was going to happen. Who was doing what and of course... The important, and dangerous part in binding the deamons of the Land of Shadows, into dreaming forms own shadows.

As binding something to your shadow in the 'real' world and Texture was easy... But very manacostly. It was like having a much shittier servant also hiding in your shadow and always active, unlike a Servant who when in Astral form, cut down their mana costs significantly.

But binding the deamons in the Land of Shadow... Would keep their base forms within said Land of Shadows, where death did not exist so it's not like they would up and disappear somehow, even if Scathach or something killed their physical forms.

And most importantly, while they weren't 'active' and doing stuff, they wouldn't be costing us any mana!

"The Land of Shadows, beyond the horrible sea monsters that act as guardians from the Sea of Invisible Numbers. We also have to worry about its Queen. What happens should we run into Scathach herself?" Radia asked rather pointedly.

But Nazica gave a wry smile and said helplessly. "Die horribly, I imagine. Even if she is alive there, I doubt her sanity lies intact after remaining there alone for millennia with naught but immortal shadow monsters and worse."

That was also a fair point... Though if my FGO knowledge was worth a damn, then the Queen of the Land of Shadows was still in tip top fucking shape. And more than happy to throw down.

Because I rather doubted that we should meet. It would be a pleasant little 'Hello, how do you do? Mind if I leave without a crimson spear through my chest?'

"If we run into Scathach... Radia, you run. With Tamamo, I can stall her for a bit before we can flee back to the Texture of Humanity, where she cannot enter." I said with a helpless smile.

As even Tamamo with all her class abilities... Frankly, I didn't see her winning against non-servant Scathach. Like at fucking all
