Path of the Stars- Chapter 4

With this failure of a Sith secured... Well, the trek to get up to the surface was still going to be a pain in the ass. But at least hopefully she could be of use?

Either way, I wasn't going to be staying here another in this gang hideout damned minute if I could help it.

So after my work, I made my way back over to Kali who had taken my advice to just stay there in safety to heart instead of wandering around in a hostile area.

"Since you had some time to think. You have any idea of any Frieghter's you can boost to get us out of here?" I asked curiously.

Kali's face pinched before she took a deep breath and said. "All the transport ships that do reach the lower floors don't have Hyperdrives Jake. They are too cheap and disposable as even with passes to get betweeen Gang and syndicate floors, things don't go as planned as they get robbed fairly often."

I nodded in understanding and then said rather bluntly. "Then we will get to the higher floors where the richer criminal syndicates have their goodies. We can use the hyper elevators used by workers that deal with the thermal and nuclear power cells down here." 

Combined with Kali's technical skills and the power of Abundance, there was a good chance of us finding a stream of elevators to do just that. The issue was just the act of moving between the elevator lines in reality.

Kali seemed to consider my suggestion before she shifted and said thoughtfully. "How... Dangerous are you Jake? Can you fight through a small army?"

And at my raised eyebrow she went to explain that although the shitty delivery speeders didn't have much in the way of any real value. The gang leader's of the upper floors did have some good ships. 

Ship's that had slaved AI in them with droids that did alot of the menial and technical work on the ship itself... Which was perfect for what I needed.

The issue was getting tag codes for those ships as they did have a level of security to them unlike the other ships as they were meant to be the bug out/escape ships for gang leaders who managed to survive an attack/mutiny and needed to flee.

"And I know where one of those ships are! An Alliance Frigate, that has both a Mass Effect generator as well as a Hyperdrive Engine. It's a Frigate class Aliance ship but it's almost entirely slaved to the droids on board!"

"How do you know about such a valuable ship so closely?" I asked with some confusion.

Kali's face pinched before she said blandly. "My brother was close to the owner... And tried to prostitute me to him in order for him to get a ride off Coruscant on that ship."

"Hmm, tell me about the owner then? What are we dealing with?" 

Kali took a deep breath and then said with a wry smile. "The owner is a pyschopath of a Trandoshan. A strong follower of the Scorekeeper, and is a serial killer who has a taste for women and younger males." 

"Because and I quote him saying. 'The Great Scorekeeper doesn't care from what actions increases a hunter's score. Only that the score goes up."

I shook my head as that was obviously some real pyscho shit still, I knew this was a very good option as Kali actually KNEW where this ship was stashed away. Which was the most important face beyond the ship actually having a working Hyperdrive Engine.

I brushed a hand across my face and said quietly. "Fine. Then let's go pick up our other co-conspirator then." 

Kali then asked quickly. "Wait, you don't have like a blaster or something stashed away?" 

To which I smiled wryly and said. "Nope. I have the power of giving someone super cancer instead."

The catgirl had no answer to my reply still I brought her out of the medical area... And all all but instantly, people were pointing. People were pointing at Kali who was whole and not a beaten and abused wreck.

But we moved quickly to the more VIP section of medical area to where Talon was. With her perking up as I entered the room as she felt my unique' force' signature enter.

"Hmm, you are back so soon I see. I have only barely gotten feeling back in my legs at this point." Talon said rather pointedly.

And in turn I said rather flatly. "And you need to keep your little taser laser's to yourself." 

"Now, we got a ship in mind. As well as a general plan to get to it. Are you ready to go now?" 

Talon nodded before saying calmly. "Very well, let us be off then."

So with that, Talon got up, and then within a couple of minutes tore of the ratty blanket that was on her to make some cloth sandels of some sort we got moving.

Once we got outside the medical area though... I knew we were very much on a fucking clock as the gangster's looked VERY suprised to see Talon up and walking. If there were scowling and looking at Kali with hate.

The complete confusion at seeing Talon up and walking was something that clearly was going to get around the gang quickly.

'Shit, we need to gtfo as Yisani is going hear about Talon waking up all to quickly.' I thought as we power walked out of the main area and then as we neared one of the maitenence elevators that led higher up.

One of the guards from deeper inside the gang's core territory yelled out. "Jake! Lady Yisani demands that you return the Twi'lek to her quarters!"

To which... I just waved my hand and the door we were near was englufed in thick highly heat resistant vine's as we passed through.

"These vines-" Talon started before flinching as the sounds of blaster fire rang out... But the thick vines that were thicker than my thigh remained unharmed from our side.

"We gotta keep moving." I said firmly as I could feel in my gut that trouble was coming for us.

Kali likewise clapped her hands and said quickly. "Come on! I can slice into the system of the elevator so we can get up the twenty floors to where the ship is supposed to be!"

I watched thoughtfully as someone threw what looked like a thermal grenade or something the wall of the vines... But nothing happened, even as Kali yelped in fear as those pig faced aliens began yelling at her to come back.

Still, soon enough Kali got the elevator open and working for us to get in. Though as we did, Talon said. "We are still unarmed you know... I can't block any blaster fire with my bare hands." 

I gave her a dull look before I shrugged and said evenly. "Sounds like a skill issue honestly." Which made her face twitch and I heard a crackle of lightning between her fingers.

But she didn't dare attack me even with my back turned as the elevator quickly dinged with us arriving on the floor that the ship was supposed to be on.

"We are like ten miles away from the hangar, come on!" Kali said as when we left the elevator, it closed back up and obviously went back down... Down back to Yisani's floor which made me wonder if the scary Echani warrior was coming for me personally.

But I wasn't going to make it easy for her as I also blocked off the exit of the elevator before we took off while I wondered if Talon or Kali actually had a tracker or something on themselves as well.

We quickly came across the goon's of this gang though... And as they whirled on us with slug thowers I snarled as I flooded my body with the power of Abundance as a hole was shot through myself.

Blood and fury ran through my mind which burned red and then I stabbed forward with my fingers with blood red tendrils that speared through a trio of Zabraks and a Vurk.

And in but a couple of moments the four gangsters keeled over and I realized I instinctively used the Borisin's devouring ability/gift from the Abundance. As the four's life force and vitality was drained leaving them a dried out husk and healing myself all but instantly.

"Ok... Maybe you don't need a blaster." Talon said rather bluntly as she picked up a slug thrower along with a blaster from the corpses while Kali did the same.

Along with gathering the credits off their corpses as well!

We moved quickly from there as we headed into the territory of the Trandoshan's gang where we were attacked in term without a warning or yells for our identity.

'I kinda wish I started with a Path with more offensive means now!' I thought as I forced a large tangle of vines and plants to burrow through their roughly made fortifications and tear into the screaming Trandoshan's that screamed about they were going to eat and sell us into slavery.

Great things honestly, but with them only being armed with low quality blasters and a faulty thermal detonator that exploded instantly killing themselves. They weren't a true threat to myself as a Pathstrider.

Once we walked past the corpses of the Trandoshan's I paused before I glowed powerfully with the power of the Abundance and I said quietly. "Let me leave a surprise... The Abundance is called the Plague Author for a reason."

And from my form came the truest expression of the Abundance. Golden tinged vines, that sprouted leaves of crimson blood that weeped corruption of endless life burrowed violently into the corpses with them making loud cracking noises at their bodies being invaded so.

But then... The corpses shook on the ground and Talon whispered. "Force above..." As I inflicted the dead Trandoshan's with the curse of Immortality in Mara. Mara being a form of immortality given by the soul being driven into insanity due to the body having too much life force.

Their forms were covered in thick armor of Mara wood that was stronger then any steel though probably not as BS as like Beskar. Still all their forms stood up with spears made out of that Abundance blessed wood with tips of glowing golden amber.

With a flex of my will, the Abundance Abominations staggered forward... And then with supernatural speed they shot forward at high speed down the next hallway.

"What... Are those? That wasn't Sith Alchemy?" Talon said with true fear and... Actual respect in her voice.

Still my foot steps rang out on the metal and concrete floor as I continued. But then after a moment I said quietly. "Life finds a way... Given the- motivation, life can do anything when pressed to the task." 

I shook my head as the sound of blaster fire rang out in the distance and as we reached the next large factory floor like segment. It was a charnel house of slaughter as the Abundance Abominations slaughtered the gangsters that attacked them.

And although the sight of the all the blood and gore made my stomach curl up... I kept it down as I knew these people, especially in this gang were cannibals and otherwise people that lived without any morals.

They were just xeno animals I was putting down at this point.

As we passed by those corpses as well, I pushed the power of Abundance to turn them into Abominations as well to cause even more havoc as the almost immortal creatures would continue on their rampage while also having their host bodies memories to allow them get into places as well.

Afterwards though... I could feel something in the back of my head telling me I needed to stop or something bad would be happening. It wasn't the power of Abundance, but a tingle in the back of my head that made me wonder if another Aeon was peeking into my mind or something.

"Let's go, we are halfway to the ship now right?" I asked with Kali nodded with a pale face.

We kept moving without any more talking... And no further confrontations as explosions rang out in the distance as this gang finally decided to pull out their big guns in heavy weapons that could actually do some damage to the Abominations I created.

Still, the rushing abominations that could act with super human abilities and a level of regeneration that allowed them to regrow limbs and organs over a few minutes allowed them to shrug off non-mortal wounds as well.

"There it is!" Kali said with clear excitement as she pointed at the 'large' ship that was parked next to a massive folding metal hangar that led to the ship tubes that would lead to the surface levels!

"Get the ship open Kali. Talon, you help me get the hangar door open." I said a bit tiredly as I had overused my powers a good bit by forcefully making several dozen abominations.

When in reality, the Plague Author's powers were best suited in slowly corrupting people into Mara Struck that would become the Abominations of Abundance without direct infusions of my power.

"Well this brings me back to the spy classes back on Korriban at least." Talon muttered as she tore open the touch pad that controlled the hangar doors and began fudging around with the cords.

And without any fanfare... Talon and Kali got the ship and the hangar door open after like twenty minutes as the gang was too busy dealing with the abominations to come check this more out of the way private hangar.

'Hell with this being enemy territory as well. It's like Yisani and her thugs could follow us as well.' I thought before I made my way into the ship... And looking around the ship, I didn't feel bad about setting a bunch of monsters on the gang anymore.

As there were alot of sentient's corpses mounted on literally every free surface in the ships rooms. Including the fucking ceilings!

"Jake, I am going to need like half an hour to even an hour to break the codes for the ships control... I can't really speed it up without a real Omnitool or another hand-held computer." Kali said helplessly as she used a clearly handmade Omnitool rip-off to interface with the ships system.

I gave a nod and said with a small smile to set her at ease. "It's fine Kali. You take your time, we have the ship closed and although the open hangar door is a concern. Even if the gangsters come around, they won't try to board their bosses ship to check it."
