Upgrades Chapter 106

Parthurnax's words were prophetic as I didn't even need to do anything special like destroying the terrain of the dungeon in order to piss it off to create a wave of monsters for us.

And soon enough Tina and Tamamo rushed back to us as a rumble rang out through the dungeon's floor. "Hmm, there is a good reason monster tamer's don't bring them their monsters back into the dungeon." Tina spoke with a wry smile.

Which was a fair point as often, monsters tamed and taken out of the dungeon once returned to the dungeon would sometimes have their wills dominated again by the dungeon if the tamer wasn't focused on the tamed monster.

Parthurnax's deep voice rumbled out with some amuesment in turn. "The fact that the dungeon's instinct like intelligance is unable to influence me is likely why it's so angry. Like an infant flailing about in anger at something being within reach, but unable to fully grasp it."

It still suprised me how well spoken, and articulate Parthurnax was honestly. 

Before anyone could say anything else a loud roar from a bugbear rang out before from the nearby thick jungle like forest cover came a stream of a couple dozen of the bugbears along with battle boars rushing towards us.

"No need to leave any alive!" I called out with Parthurnax inhaling deeply before exhaling a plume of bright flames that ignited the rushing monsters before he took another deep breath and then with a gurgling he vomited a stream of lava that sprayed into the distant forest line to make a moat of burning lava.

"These monster's can't run through a pool of lava. Seems like overkill." Blake said a bit dryly which earned a light chuckle from me as I pulled back my bow to get ready.

'It's not the monsters on the ground I care too much about.' I mused to myself as from the surrounding burning forest came more monsters which were then shot by Blake and Kali with their bows.

No what I was waiting for, was the firebirds, and the vouivre!

And from above the burning forest and jungles that were gleefully on fire due to the dragon's very potent dragonic flames and the stream of lava it released. The far rarer monsters flew in from near and far as they coudn't hide like they liked to in the thick jungle canopy.

"That Vouivre! Don't kill it" I said as I pointed at the draconic female humanoid monster with large wings holding her up in the air as she gliding towards us with her eye's gleaming with maliganant crimson.

And even as I watched in the corner of my eye, Tina killing a Lizardman who came from another direction. I could still hear her dryly retorting. "Pervert."

But what did she know... It was a man's romance to tame a monstrous half dragon woman monster!

The Vouivre came down at me who closest as I made my way towards her, and with my level five grade strength. I was able to smashed aside her grasping arms and long finger nails to before I smashed her upside the head with a club to stun her.

Once I stunned her good, I poisoned her with a very potent sedative that would keep her in a stupor before I threw a bunch of chain net's on her to make sure to lock her in place.

With that secured I returned to shooting the firebirds out of the air that were being an annoying shit by shooting fireballs at us. The firebirds were supposedly a bare bones 'pheonix' with the thinnest of possible bloodlines.

So I was hoping if I fused a fuck load more of Firebirds into the one I already tamed. Maybe I could bring out that pheonix bloodline which would hopefully make a strong tamed monster.

"Not bad... He has grown stronger since Melen." Eris spoke softly as Alifa stood next to her at the edge of a large cliff that over looked much of the nineteenth floor and in particular showed the valley in which Jake and that massive dragon were fighting off a monster wave.

"He is only alive right now because of his strength." Alfia said flatly.

Eris even blind could tell Alfia was still embrassed from how their meeting had gone. But knowing all to well not to tease the neurotic lover of silence she merely said gently. "Materia made a good choice in a man... Besides his appreciate of other women at least." 

Alfia was silent for a long moment before she asked rhetorically. "Think I should kill the rest of those women so my sister can have his heart for her herself?"

Obviously Eris knew that wasn't a question for her to answer still Alfia sniffed and said flatly. "My sister is a fool... Him curing our disease makes him our benfactor, but it doesn't change the fact that he is a womanizer. And my stupid sister is trying to sell me off as well hmph!"

Eris finally chuckled and said pointedly. "Maybe she is just worried about you Alfia... You after all don't have many friends, let alone any marriage prospects."

The air went tense as Alfia just looked at the 'blind' form of Eris whose hands tightened around her sword/staff as the Sword Saintess could feel Alfia's mana roiling to send a wave of deadly sound waves at her.

Finally Alfia snorted and looked aside before saying with finality. "Whatever... Let's get going, Hera will never let us forget if we let some of the supporters get themselves killed while doing this Mixing and Mystery resource run."
