Bloody Evolution Chapter 39

Dinner with my master Luxanna and Cinder was going fairly well as we ate in a private room in the Beacon's noble sided caferteria. Which had a fairly nice atmosphere that was only slightly ruined by Cinder's sarcastic prodding at my recent misfortune.

"Tsk tsk, with a noble title on your way. And already the other nobles are considering you a dog of the Church... To say nothing of the church having their zealots screaming for your babies."

"Ughhh hearing about it once was enough Cinder... Has there been anything interesting on your side though Cinder?" I asked trying desperatly move to move things away from the topic.

And I heard Lux snort before Cinder fucking preened as she cupped her chest with both hands between her ample breasts. And for a moment I wondered what the hell she was doing before I froze as I felt the air rise in tempature and then Cinder's signature soul burning purple fire filled her hands.

"Holy shit." I whispered in suprise before clapping for Cinder as she grinned without her normal arrogance and sultry attitude at the honest praise as I added. "You are becoming a true Grandmaster! That's awesome Cinder!"

And she smiled brightly as she added. "Indeed! I had a breakthrough and now I am a step ahead of Morgan haha!" 

A wry smile crossed my face as I knew both Cinder and Morgan were following similar paths in enhanced flames being their core techniques.

Still I was VERY happy for Cinder to say the least then I raised an eyebrow as Lux said rather firmly. "Yes it is indeed very good news of her breakthrough. Though now she is going to need to take to the field outside of cleaning the Emerald Forest just outside of Beacon."

Lux shook her head with Cinder's proud smile turning a bit forced as Lux said bluntly. "She has spent the last decade almost entirely studying and consuming resources. Now she needs to beat back the Grimm to prove she was worth those materials and time."

I coughed and then said. "Anywhooo, what else has been happening Lux? Have you heard from your brother lately?"

And Lux's stern expression turned in to a rather childish pout before she snorted and said with annoyance. "No I have not! He is still being a little turd and avoiding the family after father beat out the few brain cells he had for joining Jarvan's peerage!"

Then Lux gave me a long look before she sniffed and said. "Any you! You almost got engaged to my best friend. Do you have any idea how weird it is when your bestie asks how you treat your faunus retainers to get an idea of what kind of guy you are in bed and if your some kind of deviant???"

My face pinched at the horrid thought before I realized that in this world of nobility, and where the lives of commoners were worth less then the grass beneath our feet. Having some concerns that I was some unchecked deviant wasn't something to take lightly.

"I hope you didn't make any jokes that I was a weirdo." I muttered to myself with Lux just giving a cute 'hmph' in warning before she took a drink of her wine before we went back to eating.

Then out of nowhere Cinder spoke up thoughtfully. "Jake, as for your church problem and them wanting your babies. You should take advantage of their desire to instead pull any nuns they throw at you, to your control as you will need more then your small retinue to have a noble house."

I raised an eyebrow at Cinder and said flatly. "And how would I do that?" 

To which Cinder shrugged and said evenly. "That's up to your own charms and charisma Jake. How hard could it be for you, who has been directly touched and blessed by the God of Light to make those nuns... Your nuns that are 'married' to you and sworn to support you?" 

And hey, if nuns could exist and be married to a guy who was dead for more a thousand years without a peep in my old world. Who says I cannot... Yeah I think this is going to blow up in my face.

Then, before I could say anything else, a knock on our private door rang out followed by a flare of mana that made our expressions in Lux and myself darken, especially as we registered it as Ferid's particular mana signature.

The door opened up and I blinked as Calia was first one at the door with her giving Ferid a look before she looked at us and said quietly. "I am happy to see you come home whole Jake. Now I can see you are busy with your meal, but could I get my promised materials and leave you in peace." 

I nodded and I stood up from the table and walked over before I took out the 'coffin/storage' box that was meant for the corpses of the people we dealt with in this minor invasion all things told.

And as Calia took the coffin with a calm expression, her expression pinched as Ferid spoke with a small grin. "So I also heard you picked up a beautiful Grandmaster from Mistral with the help of a couple pet Sages following you around. How much for her and those other two, Medusa and Xiao Xun'er I think her name was?" 

I wore a rather bland smile before I said flatly. "Oh... I am sure you have plenty of people captured from this latest expedition, and I need them for my own projects." 

My tacit refusal was met with Ferid giving me an easy smile before she said casually. "Oh? Aren't you and Jean, friends as well? Can't you share a minor gift with a friend of someone who has worked so well with you before?"

The not-so-subtle threat of her fucking with Jean with her position at the top of Calia's large group of disciples rang out all to clearly.

And I just tilted my head to the side and said quietly. "Hoh? Did you not actually participate in this war at all and have zero merits or accomplishments? And now you come to demand my spoils now with blackmail?"

I turned to Calia behind Ferid, whose face now wore a cold smile though she didn't dare to interrupt as I asked casually. "Why didn't Ferid go to one of the war fronts? Or hell, with her talents why didn't she go raid Mistral or Atlas itself?"

Calia then gave her apprentice a small smile, and before she looked back to me and said calmly. "Ferid was busy with one of her projects so she didn't participate in the raids in either case. Now, thank you for securing me the prizes Jake, Ferid we are leaving now." She stated with zero room for argument.

Ferid's cold smile turned into a snarl at how her master was clearly pulling her away from this. And I just raised an eyebrow as I knew this insane bitch was going to be trouble to say the least.

Then I bowed my head slightly and said calmly. "Then I ask to be excused to finish my meal Lady Calia. I hope you both have a productive day." And then I did NOT slam the door in their faces.

No I respectfully closed... And then locked the door with Lux snorting behind me at hearing the bolt loudly sliding home.

I then went and sat in my seat with a sigh as I muttered quietly. "Fucking mad bitch. She is testing Calia and Beacon's leash again with her antics." 

Ferid was very much on a short leash after her large group of automatons got ccaught for what they were when she was controlling them to sleep with, and ruin the lives of several students she wanted to mess with.

Still, I sagged into my seat and grumbled out. "I don't need Ferid adding to my troubles when I still need to deal with the Church... Or do you two think I can point the inquisition at her?"

To which Lux replied dryly. "Sadly, seeing how her grandfather is the Sage Lord Necromancer. No, that will not work. You need to work around her, and her antics."

A sigh escaped me at the realization that she was all to right. Still, I shrugged and with a slight frown I asked. "You think she will actually cause issues with Jean though? She is a good friend of mine and we can work together great."

Cinder and Lux shared a look before Lux took a breath and said with finality. "Jake, with your connection in having her mother in your retinue. I can take her as a disciple, should it be clear that Calia is going to allow Ferid to abuse her. But Calia wouldn't allow it to happen, at least even remotely within her sight."

Lux shook her head and added. "The only reason Calia didn't kill Ferid herself, beyond her talent, in causing her so much trouble, is her grandfather,r who protected her and met to Ozpin to keep things from getting out of hand." 

With that, we continued eating before I sighed and asked curiously. "Soooo what's next on the to do list? Any large purges I am slotted to participate in? A raid on Mistral and Atlas's territory? Hell I don't know hunting down Abominations in Vale?" 

Lux snorted at my obvious complaints before she said with amusement. "No Jake, you are fine now for the next month at least. Well, you will still need to be productive in your training and whatnot. But unless you throw yourself into trouble, there is no such plans, I or Beacon have for you." 

I couldn't help a sigh of relief at that as I said with clear relief. "Thank the gods for that. I will get the time I need then for my own larger-scale projects." 

Well enhancing the Black Pearl and making it into my Natal Artifact was one goal I had. But also making either more ghost ships I could remotely control. Hell maybe another Shipgirl.

But more then anything else, I needed to fully embrace my new drive in cultivation and rise up the ranks. And with how I could manifest some sea-based treasures and such. I could also enhance my cultivation speed.

'Hmm I wonder if I can manifest something like a Devil Fruit? It's kinda sea-related, but then again it could also be called as far from the sea as possible due to how user's of the devil fruit are hated by the sea.' I mused to myself.

Before I coughed as Cinder got my attention with a rather teasing question. "Speaking of how close you are with Artoria's... Many daughters, who is the closest to you? As I have heard some interesting rumours about Mordred and Okita having a crush on you after saving them from the forest?"

I put a hand up as Lux looked on with all too much damned interest and I said after a deep breath.

"I have a dream... Not to wake up with a sword or other implement of violence burrowed into my stomach. Now, if you ladies will excuse me. I am going to go rest for the rest of the day before your drama seeking gossip gets me to say the wrong thing!"

I quickly beat a retreat from the private dining room with Lux saying quickly. "Tommorrow night, we will need to have a talk about your future training Jake!"

After making my escape, I then sent messages to Weiss, her retainer Jingliu, and of course Pyrrha herself to tell them that I was back in Beacon and safely home.

And by the time I got home, Weiss and Pyrrha messaged me back, obviously with Weiss being more relaxed, even if somewhat formal in her messages back to me... Except when I teased her by bringing up that maid outfit.

Pyrrha on the other hand, was actually rather needy and asked like three times in a row in long messages if I was alright and if the people from Mistral where I was deployed to. Gave me trouble.

Which was obviously awkward to say the least. Like, how the hell was I supposed to respond to such a text. 'Yeah, sorry babe, while I beat your fiancé like a drum and he got mulched by a terrible Grimm, I also cut off the limbs of your hated fiancé's sister and am keeping her literally in my pocket.'

Yeah, really a fucking awkward situation. So I just kept things brief and said we were all fine minus some bumps and bruises.

And then as I made my way onto my floor in Lux's mage tower, I paused and then sent a message to tell Ruby Rose that I was home as well. As to be honest... I really hoped she would bring me another basket of cookies as they were just too damned good!

"Whelp, time to relax for a good bit." I mused to myself as I finally lay down in my own bed... All was good and quiet, and for a moment there was peace.

Until I opened one eye and said quietly. "It's too damned quiet... I feel like a parent who has heard the haunting silence. Where are Nora's screams, and Velvet and Alice's machinery noises?" 

There was no answer to my silent inquiry. I was bereft of any such answers and was left to just lay there in haunting silence as I was too used to having people in close proximity when I was on the expedition.

Whether it be physically near as we hung out and fought together. Or more in an intimate manner as I didn't spend a single night while gone not without at least one of my shipgirls sharing my bed as we tried to sleep.

But still, I closed my eyes and I breathed in the spiritual energy that so richly filled Lux's tower, and I began cultivating in earnest, as I had a good ways to go in order to reach the Golden Core stage.

'Hmm, if I reach the Golden Core stage. I will be the match of the weaker side of Grandmasters... And at the peak of Golden Core, I would be stronger then most Grandmasters.' I mused to myself.

And as for why I wouldn't be at the level of a Sage? Wel,l despite the ki and mana system of this world being far weaker then the Qi/Spiritual energy system of immortal cultivation.

Sagehood no matter what, was still a half-baked immortal, and the energy a sage had couldn't be measured with mortal qi. 

So in order to match or be stronger than even the weaker sages, I would need be at the peak of the Life Destruction realm, which is where I begin shedding my mortal body. Or even the Divine Sea realm, which is past the Life Destruction realm which is where I refine my soul into a divine form.

"Hmm, I need to raid Lux's stores though... I know she still has some water-based natural treasures that can help me cultivate faster. To say nothing of being used to enhance my sword and the Black Pearl." I mused to myself.

As even with my divine talent, I knew it was going to take a good bit to refine my Qi cyclone that had formed in my dantian. And compress it into a solid core so I could enter the next realm.

'Hmm, I do have a strong basis and foundation in Nether Limitless's powerful sword techniques. Should I also extend my reach to more sea-based cultivation spells and techniques?' I mused as that would take away from my time in cultivating.

The process of refining my Qi cyclone also required my qi to be in a good state. And draining said qi, aura, and other sources of energy within myself to make such an inheritance would make it so I couldn't cultivate as well.

"Wait... I literally just got a couple of dozen batteries as well. Maybe I should try using them for cultivating?" I mused before shrugging and taking out the pocket dimension suit case and climbing in to try.

Thankfully, all of the cages and sealed rooms would feed the mana and ki from the captured souls directly to a central node in a sealed room... So that the screams and anger of the people getting drained didn't mess with me.

"Hmm... It's unrefined." I muttered as I felt the ki and mana surrounding me in the sealed crystal pillar I had to climb into which would keep the extracted energy from dissipating.

My plans to have these people moved into the Houtian stage of my cultivation system would definitely need to happen. As I knew that in the long term, having to refine magic and ki into spiritual energy was going to take too long and be harmful.

Still on the other hand... It was still good to be directly channeled into a manifestation of mine as I channeled the excess energy into another Inheritance Jade stick.

This one containing the large-scale water spells and ship refining methods that Nether Limitless's sect used, as they were a 'sea' based Sect.

After cultivating through the night in a deep meditation that replaced my sleep, I strode out of the suitcase before shrinking it down and putting it back in my pocket that had a zipper on it so I couldn't lose the matchbox-sized suitcase.

And as I came out of my bedroom, I saw Nora helping Artoria carry a couple of baskets of my retinue's laundry towards the laundry chute at the end of the tower.

Nora sent me a wide grin and waved before Artoria jokingly scolded her. "Don't run off now. We are almost done now."

"Be good Nora!" I called out jokingly, and she cackled and called back.

"Nope! I am a bad girl! The baddest queen of them all haha!"

To which I could only helplessly shake my head at her antics, so I just went to grab a late breakfast with Prinz actually working in the kitchen with a smile that greeted me.

And then I saw New Jersey and Shinano also sitting at the table next to the kitchen... Well Shinano was already back to napping on her arms that were resting on the table.

"Heya Honey! Did you have fun with Lux and Cinder last night?" New Jersey asked with her usual cheer, with those electronic, bunny ears twitching with her joy.

I chuckled before I said with an easy smile. "Yeah, it went fairly well. Got into a bit of a confrontation with that bitch Ferid though, but what can you do?" 

Prinz came over and slid me a plate of eggs, sausage, and toast with her saying in a matter-of-fact tone. "You could light her on fire... That could solve a number of your issues."

"Ooooh! I could help hide the body honey!" New Jersey offered with a grin as she stabbed some eggs and brought them up to my mouth as I sat down beside Shinano.

Then as New Jersey began feeding me, I felt Shinano sliding up next to me slowly but surely before a couple of her many white fur-covered tails wrapped around my waist as she eventually rested her head on my shoulder after she 'managed ' to lift her head from her arms.

"So what are you girls up to today?" I asked curiously as I wrapped an arm around Shinano, with her ears twitching gently on my chin as she sighed with relief at my arms closing around her.

Prinz and New Jersey shared a look before New Jersey said thoughtfully. "Hmm, I was thinking about helping Alice and Velvet with their new cannons they've been working on."

And Prinz said casually. "I planned on just relaxing and reading on our first real day back home. After all, classes don't restart till next week, barring more conflict apparently." 

"Yeah, I planned to take things slow and just relax as well. I have a meeting with Lux later today about my training, but I am free to just chill for the next week I suppose." 

After all, Feixiao my martial art's master, was AWOL and doing her own things in being a faunus Sage that had her own massive pile of issues I imagined.

Despite how 'unreliable' she was at times. She was the leader of the faunus fox races, apparently.

"Hmm, I will probably go check in with Weiss and Pyrrha while I have today off. God knows what nonsense Lux has in mind for my next segment of training." I said with a bit of a helpless sigh.

The ship girls nodded thoughtfully as they knew I was somewhat involved with both girls and had... Something going on with Pyrrha, especially though I could feel Shinano's tails tighten around me as I moved to get off my seat.

So I just sent Pyrrha a text to see if she was up, as I knew she was the type to wake up bright and early.

[You up yet? Wanted to know if you wanted to hang out sometime today?]

And like literally within a minute she sent me back a thumbs up and said. [Yes Jake, I am free whenever you want to hang out. Do you want to hang out at my dorm room again? Wander around Beacon or even go to Vale?]

There was a moment where I considered the thought before I shook my head as I realized that with the church after my... Seed.

 I really shouldn't be running around Vale in the open, frankly. And according to Lux and Cinder, there were nuns here in Beacon hunting me like a gold digger trying to baby trap a pro athlete.

So I sent a message to Pyrrha stating I would VERY much prefer hanging out at her dorm as the people of the Church were acting weird due to my Silver Eyes.

Obviously, I didn't get into the baby trapping nonsense but she said clearly with excitement with how quickly she texted back. [Oh ok, well just come on over whenever then.]

And I texted back instantly. [Alright, on my way then.]

There was a pause as I made to put on my shoes before I saw Pyrrha messaged me back with a simple [Ok, see you in a couple mins!]

"Alright, I am going to go hang out with Pyrrha for a bit. Don't burn down Lux's tower." I called back to my shipgirls and the rest of my retinue with Ren calling out in a deadpan.

"I will try to make sure they don't manage to burn past the wards put down by Sages."

Meanwhile, over in Pyrrha's dorm, the red-haired beauty was giggling as she kicked her feet back and forth on her bed as she hugged her scroll and pillow to her ample chest.

"Hehe, he texts me first thing in the morning and wants to come see me! Hmm, that little princess is probably asleep as well, and he is going to spend the day with me haha!" Pyrrha giggled evilly at the thought of texting Weiss oh so innocently about how Jake spent his first day back with her ALL day and how they snuggled up to watch movies and-

Pyrrha's giggles turned into a girlish squeal as she rubbed her face into her pillow at the embarrassing thought of how she and Jake had a sleepover and slept together. Along with those toe curling making-out sessions.

Then she abruptly stopped.

She sat up slowly and across the room she looked at the full length mirror and saw her messy crimson hair in a tangled mess as she had been reading in bed. And then her gaze went down to the dress shirt of Jake's she had bribed Nora to give her that had the top buttons open to show off her expansive cleavage.

And she began twitching for a couple seconds before she screamed and ran for the bathroom because she was obviously a total mess! She hadn't even showered yet this morning!

A few minutes later as she hurried out of the bathroom in her bathrobe she began hurriedly finding trying to find a good outfit to hang out here at home with Jake.

'Cocktail dress... Too slutty for hanging out. A summer dress... Looks weird with my toned muscles. Hmm maybe a tank top and short shorts? Doesn't he like tom-boys?' Pyrrha mused before biting her lower lip at the evil thought of maybe just skipping a bra?

Then her heart crawled up to her throat as a soft ringing rang out as who else could it be but Jake ringing her dorm's ringer.

She absently rushed over to the door and as she opened the door. It was only as Jake's eye's naturally slid down to her exposed gleaming cleavage, and then past down to her legs that she realized that she was only in a bath robe!

"Uhh do you need a minute?" He asked with a wry smile that made her want to kiss him silly or just slam the down in his face and collapse screaming. She wasn't sure what to do.

Seeing Pyrrha stuck with a doe in the headlights expression I realized she had totally mentally crashed. And for a long moment as I looked down at her tits that were partly exposed, I decided that I should let Pyrrha rest mentally.

"Uhh yeah take a minute to get dressed." And I just closed the door to let her mentally reset without me in front of her.

Then a couple minutes later I watched Pyrrha dramatically throw open the door and I blinked at seeing her wearing a nice tight tank top along with a pair of short shorts that clung to her tight frame.

"Soooo! Good morning haha!" She laughed a bit awkwardly as she shifted a bit to let me into the room.

I then walked in with a long step and as Pyrrha closed the door behind her. I turned around with Pyrrha pinned between me and the door.

And as Pyrrha turned towards me, her face was tucked under my jawline and I gently grabbed her waist and said quietly. "Did you miss me while I was gone?" 

She stiffened before I felt her arms close around me and she pushed her face into my chest along with the rest of her body. Before said thickly. "Xiao Yan came after you, didn't he?" 

I was silent for a long moment before I sighed and stepped back a bit and as she looked up at me with hazy eye's I gently cupped her cheeks and asked softly. "Is that going to be an issue?"

There was a long moment as Pyrrha stared into my eye's trying to find something in them. Or answering her own inner questions perhaps.

Then she pushed up into me with with her tucking a leg around my waist as I naturally brought her in for a kiss obviously with her moaning into my mouth.

'She is being more brave?' I thought with some confusion before mentally shrugging as I had a beautiful red head in my arm and trying to suck my soul out through our shared lips.

I wrapped my arms around Pyrrha's waist and then pulled her in deeper into her dorm and I brought her over to her fold out couch with her fully wrapping her arms and legs around me with her hands burrowed in my hair as she kissed me hungrily.

As we sat down with her in my lap she broke the lip lock to look at me with hazy eyes and her voice was so husky as she whispered. "I missed you... Did you-" 

She drew off as she bit her lower lip but her eye contact all but demanded I reply in kind which I did obviously.

"Of course I missed you Pyrrha. The moment I woke up, I texted you after all." I whispered before I grinned and said more firmly. "Now come here." And with a spank to her tight ass that made her squeal into my mouth we continued making out.
