Cursed to Infinity Chapter 26

I groaned a bit as I brushed a hand across my face as I realized that shit was going to get REAL complicated if... Or more like when, that asshole decides to tell everyone I could give other people more powers.

"Fucking prick. I should put a bounty on his ass... A new spiritual technique if you bring me his head." I cursed under my breath.

However Mei Mei hummed and said with a small smile. "Oh? I could reach into my contacts in the underworld and add such a bonus to his bounty."

And I was reminded that alot of people had bounties on their asses via the powerful clans, organizations, countries, and even 'divine' entities putting out bounties. Hell, I myself had several bounties out for my live capture from several countries that wanted me under their thumb.

Like Toji even made jokes about selling me to pay off Kyoto Jujutsu Tech's budget for the next literal couple of decades.

But just as I was about to call Toji himself to let him know that someone people were fucking around... He himself was calling me according to the ringtone coming from my phone.

"Toji? What happened?" I asked the moment I answered.

And there was a cool silence for a moment before he said calmly. "Someone is playing games right now... I decided to give you a heads up that I was going to need to leave Kyoto Jujutsu Tech to go on a quick walk."

I paused at that and before he could hang up I said quickly. "Wait hold on!" And then I quickly explained how Toshiro Samsung approached me to join his operation.

Toji was quiet for a long moment before he said calmly, but I could hear his knuckles cracking as he squeezed his phone. "I see... Like I said before, some people want to play a little game. Either way, I will be out of touch for a while as I go looking for the people who decided to scare my wife." 

Then he said with finality. "In fact, with myself stepping out of Kyoto Tech for a bit. I suggest either camping out in the Kamo household, though expect to be lynched into a marriage within half an hour. Or leave the school and go to ground, as I have no idea how long this going to take."

And then with a loud click, Toji fucking hung up on me, leaving my face darkening as I cursed under my breath with Mei Mei stating blandly. "Ah, so Toji is useless as per usual when it's not punching a situation to death, right?" 

"He is being diverted elsewhere... And if someone is messing with things behind the scenes, then I bet even your safe houses here in Tokyo are being watched." I muttered with a frown.

"Uhm, if we are trying to avoid some local issues. Maybe we could go to a safe house in like, London or Hong Kong?" Ui Ui offered which was in theory a good idea.

But I had a sinking feeling that I should pop over/illegally sneak into a different country. They would happily use that excuse to try to control me and bring a lot more drama into my life.

"No... Incognito is the right play. Hmm, Mei Mei, I think we need to split up as you two are two recognizable with your features and that giant axe of yours." I said slowly before I took out my phone and messaged Alyx and Anya to come back home from the gym ASAP.

"I am going with Anya and Alyx out of TJT, and we are going to hide out in the lower-income areas. I have plenty of cash and a couple of side accounts that won't draw attention that most people don't know about as well." I spoke more to myself than anything as the twin's messaged that they were coming.

And Mei Mei replied rather dryly. "You sure about that Jake? Your name alone is a good give away let alone the fact that your face was plastered everywhere via those announcements... Oh, and you can't forget the fact that you are a tasty treat for any spiritual entities or demons that formed inside of Kyoto's walls."

I just sighed and said flatly. "I've got to do something. Now, Ui Ui, I need you to teleport us once the two get over here. Now give me a minute, I need to pack up, up some clothes."

And then the twins 'once triplets' got into the house past Mei Mei as I was packing and they quickly checked me over before Alyx asked in clear concern. "Are you alright Jake? Why do we need to go into hiding?"

I sighed and said with a wry smile. "I might be blowing it out of proportion. But yeah, Toji sai I need to lay low. And if someone were to cause trouble at my place looking for me, I don't want you girls here alone and for them take their anger out on you."

Anya came over to give me a firm hug with her saying quietly. "It's alright. We are used to moving around." She gave me a firm squeeze with Alyx smiling knowingly before she clapped her hands together to say.

"Alright Anya, lets clean out our bathrooms and grab a few pairs of clothes. We won't be gone for more than a week, will we?" She asked me with some concern.

To which I shrugged and said honestly. "If the trouble persists for a week... I will pay Satoru Gojo to come punch my own problems to death. If I don't kill them myself. I just don't know who is causing trouble in the background right now."
