Milkers in the Dungeon Chapter 13

The two cow beastkin looked at us with hope, and I sighed before saying with a wry smile. "Alright let's get going then. We were going to clear the pantry out first anyway."

The younger of the two beastwomen who Ganyu asked if she was a Qilin beastkin quickly nodded and although we hadn't gotten their names the two ran as fast as they could ahead of us until they reached a new tunnel.

And as we entered the tunnel, I saw a large sliding tunnel that led downwards. "There is the tunnel that leads down to the pantry. Please help us!" The older cow beastkin begged us.

I shared a look with the other girls before I nodded and said firmly. "Shenhe eye's on dangers, Xianyun, Ganyu do your thing."

By that, I meant for Shenhe to take the back and keep an eye on those two with our two archers also keeping an eye on them. Meanwhile, Fillia our healer, would be closer to me.

With my sword in hand, I jumped down the tunnel and my feet slide down the steep and smooth slope with my hand rising up to steady myself as I slid down through darkness for but a few moments before light of the dungeon variety hit my eyes followed by the distant sounds of monster screechs in the distance.

"Come on down!" I called out as I moved forward, and as I took in the large room I landed in, I realized all too quickly that this was the Pantry, as they said. But as my girls came down... The other two beastwomen didn't come down and then with a rumble, I saw that the hole in the wall closed.

"So it was a trap," I said rather blandly with a snort as Filia came behind me, knowing I was going to need to protect her.

Xianyun pushed her glasses up before she said coldly. "I thought their reactions were a bit too forced... My guess is that the sounds of monsters in the distance is their party who will be coming to loot us as well."

And just to underscore that fact a heart-chilling series of cracking noises akin to boiling oil getting something frozen rang out as the dungeon's walls began spawning an entire wave of monsters to fill the large circular room of the Pantry.

'Going to have to kill someone else again... That sucks.' I thought a bit flatly before I spoke firmly. "Ladies, we need to move to the Pantry exit tunnel to funnel the monsters into an easier mass!"

We quickly moved to the exit of the pantry with Shenhe taking the front and with her prodigious skill with her spear she was able to spin her spear in a beautiful dance that created a tunnel for us to get through the rapidly approaching War Shadows, Killer Ant's and other monsters.

Thankfully, though, with this being on the ninth floor, there weren't very large monsters like orcs, silver backs, and hard armored yet. Still we made our way forward and all too soon we could hear the sounds of combat in front of us as well.

And I was right as Shenhe took the front and Xianyun with her disposable 'magic' bombs keeping shit from the back. I saw the party belonging to those two beastwomen.

"They are alive!? The pantry has active beast bait how?" One of them shouted in horror before he seemingly came to the realization we weren't level one's, and I saw the rest of his half dozen strong party also came to the same realization.

But I had no words for them due to the horde of fucking monsters behind us.

And I knew this was a damned set up for sure due to the group having a shield wall of three large men with literal tower shields and the other half of the half being behind them using spears that were literally built to fit in the notches of the shields they were working around.

"I got it!" I called out as I had no mercy for these people and instantly Shenhe knew what I was going to do as I cut down a Warshadow that was pinned between our two groups and as I drew in what looked like the leader yelled out.

"Wait this is just a misunderstanding-"

His words were cut off into a scream as I came in with a sweeping blow, and using the Heavenly Fire and Abyssal Ice martial sword martial art I inherited, I unleashed a blinding blaze of flames that washed over their forms.

The shield wall fell as the big barbarian race men fell back with their mostly uncovered flesh burned red and black in parts, at my albeit weak but widespread flames to their upper bodies made them lose all cohesion.

Then I was upon them, my divine sword carved through the metal band reinforced handle of a spear before a wet crunch rang out as my sword slashed through the shoulder and down to the waist of one of the large men.

Then, duo snaps and wet thumps rang out, followed by wet gurgles as both Xianyun and Ganyu landed arrows into the throats of two of the spear wielders in the backline.

"I got the monsters in the back!": Shenhe called out as I pulled at my magic to send a wave of crescent mood spinning ice blades at a guy who was pulling up his shield, which blocked the ice blades...

But it most certainly didn't block me stabbing my sword, through his shield with me pushing my palm on the pomel of my large greatsword-sized divine sword to shove the blade into the guy on the other side.

I then kicked the shield into the man to pull out my sword and then the last man with a spear died to four arrows to the upper chest and neck as he pulled out a buckler from his back to protect his face from more arrows.

With the men dead at this point, it was just a matter of time for us to deal with the wave of monsters with Xianyun and Ganyu happily looting the men we killed as Shenhe and I cleared the wave of monsters with myself using my Quaser powers to create a razor wire path of copper to block the monsters approach through the pantry tunnel.

"Those two were trying to set us up to be killed! We need to tell the guild about them!" Filia all but growled as she daintily kicked the corpse of the man I almost cut in half at the start.

I grunted in agreement before I said bluntly. "We don't even know their names. And saying 'Hey a couple of cow beastkin sent us through a trap' Only makes us look like damned fools. As the dungeon has no rules as you all know."

Sure there was the whole 'no pass parade' rule but what could the guild do? Give the offending Familia a fine? We fell for a trap and faced danger because we were weak. That was the end of it.

"However... Facing this danger wasn't without its own bonuses." I said looking at the large garbage bag sized pack filled with monster drops and stones along with the remains of a couple other adventurers the group had obviously fucked over.

"Looks like a hundred thousand Valis of materials. The spears they used were extra thick so they could be sharpened while down here in the dungeon, and the shields were two inches thick of cheap iron. This was a money-gathering operation, honestly." Xianyun spoke with some thought.

Shenhe however, uncaring of the money and monster drops, said coldly. "And what are we to do if we find those two in the dungeon again?"

I shrugged and said honestly. "Most likely... Beat the shit out of them if not kill them outright if it's in the dungeon. Definitely the first if we find them outside of the dungeon."

I didn't mind helping others if they got caught in a tight spot. But although Shera, my advisor, told me that murder and human entrapment in the dungeon were common in the early levels. I didn't think it was going to be nearly this bad.
