Gamer Emperor Chapter 45 End of Book 1

I shivered with Skadi's purple amethyst eyes lancing into me as she herself easily felt being a true goddess who had helped form this realm. As I completed the mission and the realm of Nifldum fell under my control.

My mana and life force swelled with Rhea's divinity becoming a shroud that covered me and the rest of the group, as Skadi's surprised eyes became a glare as she realized I had truly taken the realm from her.

There was a heavy pause before Skadi sniffed and said coldly. "We have a contract Jake Bariss. This realm is yours, but as Ragnarok comes. You must take Loki's life with your own hands."

That was literally the most simple quest prompt I have gotten before. Then I held in another powerful reaction as my gamer system rang out repeatedly and I got the rest of the rewards for completing the realm conquest.

I felt Rhea's hold on my shoulder tighten as an otherworldly flash of divinity sparked to life as my mind was filled with a mental download... Of all the Primordial Runes and I could feel blood leaking of my nose, eyes, and ears as my mind was filled with true enlightenment.

Because Primordial Rune's were a true codified magical explanation of the laws of the universe.

"How did he... He achieved enlightenment from taking ownership of my realm? Is this an insult to myself or Odin himself with how he has the Primordial Runes." Skadi spoke dumbfounded as even with my vision darkened red with the blown-out blood vessels in said eyes.

I could see glowing golden runes crossing through my vision and across my skin with myself being able to read all the Primordial Runes as they passed by my vision with my system pinging out.

With shaky hands, I took out a healing potion with Yuki carefully help lift it up to my lips and I drank the sweet nectar with the burning sensation across my body becoming a dull throb of agony that I could more easily ignore.

"Hmm, well that was certainly something my champion," Rhea noted calmly while giving me one last squeeze on my shoulder before she added. "Well, I suggest you and your friends should leave Nifldum as Skadi needs some time alone, and you need time to process all this. And you have something important to take care of back on Earth." 

That was very true. Plus if I just left Nifldum now, I wouldn't need to deal with Skadi's daughter who I mugged to get her half of the key of wisdom to get into Skadi's castle.

Still with my eyes closed I took a deep breath and I said a bit thickly as I was... Not currently in a good way with how much my body had abruptly changed to much. ""Very well, we will leave now then. Ladies are you ready to go back to Earth now?" 

Arianna, Yuki, Kiyohime were very much ready to leave this frozen hellscape due to the still very miffed goddess in front of us and simply said their agreement simply. At the same time Alicia was much more empathic about wanting to leave to return to Earth.

"Rhea, will you be coming with us?" I asked as I got up with a bit of a stagger to my steps and the goddess gave a hum before saying in amusement. 

"I can make my own way home my champion... You need to heal up and begin working on mastering my domain of the Flow. You WILL need it for what is coming in the future after all." She spoke firmly and I realized what she meant.

'She wants to throw me at her damned ex-husband when he comes back. I will obviously need to have some mastery over her Domain over the Flow so I can counteract Chronos's domain over Time itself.' I thought as I was reminded of how Rhea mentioned that the various Pantheon's end times was coming to a head in a nexus.

With that, I took a deep breath and I spoke out. "Then we will be going now. Lady Skadi, I will achieve that mission in my lifetime." 

I then took the hands of all my girls along with Alicia taking hold of my shoulder. And with a crack of dimensional energy. I used my daily emergency teleport to back to my territory that in the supernatural side of the sewers under New York City.

Honestly, with how many monsters typically ran across my territory however, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an exit to the Dedealus Maze in all of reality.

"Here we are Alicia, we are back on Earth. If you want you can follow us to the Continental to get connected with the Church that is perfectly fine." I spoke as I had teleported us right to the edge of my territory underground.

As I didn't want Alicia being an outsider and not someone who was interested in me. Knowing where I kept my hidden base at which stored a number of my treasures that didn't fit in my inventory.

So hence why I just wanted to offload the potentially very problematic Nephlem back onto the Church and stay well away from the DXD drama she was involved in. Being how Diadora went after her to take her into his peerage.

"I appreciate the offer Jake. I will pray for you each day when I return to the church as well." Alicia spoke with a bow of the head while I smiled wryly.

Knowing all to well that her prayers were for my immortal soul due to how I was a heretic who was fucking pagan non-humans each and every day.

"Hmm, Jake how about I take Alicia to the Continental and pick up the kitsunes and Sally while you rest. Getting those Primordial Rune's downloaded into your mind obviously has done damage to your body as well." Yuki spoke firmly.

I nodded and with a sigh I said. "Yeah that would be a good idea. Kiyohime, you go with her. If my thought's are right the local Mist is going to be a mess with monsters being restless. I will just curl up in my safe house the kitsune can lead you all too." 

Kiyohime clearly didn't look too enthused about leaving me behind when I wasn't 100% but she knew I wanted my kitsune brought to me so she just nodded and looked to Arianna and said calmly. "Watch him. Don't let him go anywhere."

With Arianna saying in amuesment. "I am well aware Kiyohime, I will put him to bed as soon as we get him to the safe house." 

The three ladies then moved on with Kusanagi finally grumbling inside my mind. "What is that weird Gram doing in your soul? I don't like it!" 

I gave a wry smile as my jealous sword spirit kept on whining. As I was brought through the sewers with Arianna holding my hand as we headed towards my safe house.

Yuki's expression was serene even if she was inwardly a bit stiff as she watched as that annoying exorcist spoke quietly. "I thank your... Husband for his aid in saving me. And I will pray for your own souls salvation. But I have much to do, and report so please excuse me."

And Yuki watched as the blond human exorcist strode away. Presumably to speak to that same corrupt church that got her attacked by that devil in the first place.

"She has been dealt with. Now we go to speak with darlings... Pet's." Kiyohime spoke with distaste as moved from the front lobby ignoring the many people gazing at her with fear and respect in uneven amounts.

Yuki silently followed the tempermental dragon womans movements and they soon made their way up to the room Kiyohime had 'bought' for Jake long term and as soon as they entered the multi-room they saw the 'family' of kitsune in Akagi, Kaga, Amagi, and Shinano working on what looked like some enchanted charm/ofuda.

"So Senko's magical research seems to be paying off." Kiyohime noted calmly as the kitsune looked up and they both lit up seeing the two women.

As they obviously asked the most important question with Kaga jumping up and asking excitedly. "Is our husband back? Is he safe? Where is he?"

And Yuki knew that Kiyohime in her own insane way appreciated Kaga's reaction as she said calmly and without the spite she could sometimes have for Jake's other women he was involved in.

"He has succeeded in conquering the realm of Nifldum but in doing so. The power gained in doing so has put a good deal of stress on his body so he is recovering in his safe house in the... Undergound of his territory below the city."

"He is back in the sewers again..." Akagi said with a sigh with Kiyohime twitching at the correction but obviously couldn't find it in herself to argue with her valid point.

"It's a hidden area touched upon by the supernatural... Not connected to the sewage branch to be fair." Yuki helpfully pointed out. As she herself didn't exactly want to admit that her husband was the king of New York's sewers.

But then again, now he was the king of the captial and much of the Gumiho realm along with the realm of Nifldum which has a radius of one thousand miles. 'So just call it his secret safe house... Much better to the mindset.' Yuki thought with some amusement.

Then Kiyohime demanded bluntly. "Where is the rest of your kind? Jake wants you with him for any number of reasons."

The four kitsune shared a look before Shinano with her five swaying tails behind spoke. "Senko, and Yukikaze, have made great strides with Musashi and Ahri, they are no longer dolls basically and are capable of combat now along with having... A hyper fixation on Jake as their savior and who helped put them together to begin with."

Yuki held in her own reaction to that new's remembering well that... Scene where the Gumiho queens held the nine tailed foxes in stasis tanks so that they might one day feed on them to gain the primordial essence closest to the original Gumiho.

And even though Yuki was a contracted killer and would do alot of things to provide for her Yuki-Onna clan. The savage cruelty so innate to the Gumiho race was beyond her.

On the other hand, Kiyohime said with a hum. "That is very good news indeed. Even with Jake's blessing and essence filling you all. It will take you years to become Nine Tailed Kitsune, them being loyal to him is of paramount importance."

Then Kiyohime clapped her hands together and took in the room before asking curiously. "And that clear-sighted mortal? Sally Jackson, I believe her name was? Where is she?" 

Amagi then explained that Sally had been spending a good number of hours a day inside the Continental's library using Arianna's old pass to get access to lower leveled magical books so that she could use her 'Clear Sighted' nature to enhance her ability to learn magic.

"I will go find Sally, Kiyohime, you can wrangle all the kitsune together and we can leave in the next ten minutes. Is that fine?" Yuki spoke with the dragon woman tilting her head to the side before shrugging and saying calmly.

"Very well." Then Kiyohime looked to the rest of the kitsune with some impatience as she said flatly. "Well? Let's go find the other kitsune."
