And so my life changed for the much simpler... Soon news truly did hit Monstadt about a big battle between the Fatui and the Adepti who were apparently searching for the host of 'great power'.

More like my dumbass who absorbed so much of the essence of both the Electro and Dendro Gnosis, so I was now a walking beacon of both of their power or something. But Mona's home was well shielded from my energy leaking out or any other form of divination.

No, seriously her walls were completely covered in magical glyphs, and even the doors and windows had glowing sigils and magical diagrams that contained and scrambled any magical signatures that came into contact with the house.

Because it didn't take me long to realize that Mona was poking the sleeping bear that was Celestia when she was doing her astronomy and snatching secrets of the future from the stars.

So if Celestia couldn't sense Mona's bullshit... Then I highly doubted the Fatui could find my ass unless I walked in front of a bunch of Fatui agents swinging my kitsune tails around.

Hence why I was being a good house guest... Being as quiet as a mouse for a couple of weeks where I kept a low profile and only left her house with magical illusions across my body to change my appearance to go get food and such.

Not wanting to be a complete laze about and knowing Lisa and Klee were back from their brief vacation in Sumeru I decided to get the gang back together as Fischl being the adventurer she literally was brought me an interesting mission she got.

"With the outer edges of the Dragonspine Mountain unfreezing due to its eternal accursed blizzard ending. Foul machines of the dark lands are arising from their icy tombs! Kurama! Prince of another land, we must journey to the frozen mountain and purge those machines lest they trample my own home into dust!" Fischl spoke proudly in her...

Very unique way of speaking.

"So a bunch of Ruin Machines have awoken and the Mondstadt Adventurer's guild wants them destroyed. And who else will be coming with?" I asked curiously.

Fischl placed a hand over her heart as she continued. "Yes! With such a grand endeavour and scouring being taken underway more manpower than just the two will be needed! Besides mine royal self, and you of course. We will also be accompanied by Eula of the Lawrence Clan and another great... If very unlucky adventurer Bennet!" 

I gave the excited blond haired adventurer a dull look with one of my long tails poking her in the head making her blink her single eye that wasn't covered in an eyepatch in confusion. "I have only been here in Mondstadt for a couple of weeks... But I have heard much of Bennet."

Fischl's face turned into a wry smile and I continued blandly. "He is literally cursed I tell you... I have never seen a man ride a cart and all four wheels break over an hour-long ride separately... I have never seen a man get shit on by birds walking through the city, more than fifteen times in one trip!"

"Its... Not that bad normally." Fischl said weakly as she didn't even use her chuuni lines knowing how literally cursed Bennet was.

'Honestly, I wonder if the rumors about Bennet being a member of the Khanriah royal family are true with how cursed he is... The world literally has it out for him but he is too stubborn to die.' I thought with a sigh as even Mona refused to look into how unlucky he was.

But Fischl coughed as Oz flew over one of the Mondstadt buildings and came to land on their master's shoulder. "In any case Kurama! A wonderful quest awaits us! Paying very well and I am sure you want to stretch your tails outside of the confines of the city!"

I sniffed and then shrugged. "Alright, Fischl you convinced me with your royal tongue and charisma. When shall we be leaving on this grand quest to stop the invading unfreezing army of a fallen heretical kingdom?"

Fischl gave a giggle at how right and... Cool my words were but she wore a more serious expression when she answered. "The time of our departure to our grand quest is on the morrow. Just as the sun hits its zenith in the sky, the heroes of Mondstadt shall depart and purge the monsters!"

She went full chunni mode with her putting her hand over her covered-up eye and I could see through her hand as electro lightning coursed from underhand... As though the power 'sealed' behind her eyepatch was leaking out.

'I wonder how much she practices stuff like that.' I wondered as I hid my amusement and said proudly going along with her chuuni lines. "Good! This prince shall stand beside the Prinzessin Der Verurteilung, our powers shall shatter the forgotten automatons of the accursed kingdom and then we shall return home victorious!"

With Oz clapping his wings together before he said calmly in his weirdly deep voice for a bird. "I am glad to hear you are willing to help us Kurama, and so is my mistress and her parents. Would you care to come with us for lunch back at Mein Fräulein's noble home?"

I blinked at Oz's offer while Amy/Fischl flushed and looked ready to have a heart attack so I just chuckled and fell into old habits as my tails swirled behind me in amusement as I spoke. "Oh? A home-cooked meal prepared by the mother of the Prinzessin Der Verurteilung? How could I miss such an opportunity!"
