Hunter/Teyvat Chapter 119

"Long have I foreseen this meeting travelers from another world. I waited precisely for this time well aware that you all have fled Liyue from a great and terrible fire marked by devestation!" Mona spoke proudly.

My lips twitched as Paimon announced. "Wait so you saw the future and learned that Ei would burn down our house in Liyue while trying to cook?" 

Mona's face itself pinched as she realized how odd her fortune-telling was. But she still coughed and said. "Ahem... Indeed, now. My name is Mona, Mona Megistus, and I hope to travel with your group as you head back to Mondstadt for the Windblume festival!" 

The fortune teller and astrologist clapped her hands together as she continued to speak. "I myself have a quest given to me via my master back in Liyue, and in return for your help in getting to Mondstadt, I would be happy to tell your fortunes." 

I think our group size was making Mona a bit nervous... To say nothing how the Raiden Shogun, the puppet was eyeing her with suspicion.

But hey, I didn't have any problems dragging Mona back to Mondstadt with us. It's not like my Anemo Hypostasis couldn't build a bigger platform to fly us all on.

However, I did have something to say. "I don't mind giving you a ride to Mondstadt, but we will need to stop at the edge of Liyue and the Dragonspine Mountain so we can collect some stuff."

After all, we still needed to collect materials for Cloud Retainer... I mean Xianyun to make us a new house within the Serantea Pot.

At my one stipulation, Mona just smiled and said. "That is no issue at all. I won't be any trouble I promise."

With that the rest of the girls introduced themselves to Mona, taking turns in doing so... But I noticed the Raiden Shogun was looking elsewhere and as I paid more attention I could hear the song of an odd bird ringing out.

'Is that Xiao the Adeptus watching over us?' I thought curiously seeing how the puppet was focused on the oddity.

But I just shook my head as the girls finished introducing themselves to Mona along with Mona's face twitching as the Raiden Shogun introduced herself in her typical deadpan tone with Mona swiftly realizing the Electro Archon was standing before her.

The Raiden Shogun however was on the calmer if emotionless side so Mona quickly calmed down and then we all climbed back aboard my summoned Anemo Hypostasis and headed further north were we could begin collecting materials for the houses.

"Ei, do you mind cutting into the mountain so we can send the boulders in." I asked respectfully.

The Raiden Shogun hummed before the puppet said blandly. "Very well. Use of elemental power would indeed speed things along. Please everyone cover your eyes and ears." 

And I swiftly did so a thunder rumbled above us in the the thickening light cloud cover.

Then massive purple bolts of lightning hit like great bombs onto the exposed sides of a cliff sending massive boulders down into a forest below the cliff which also brought down several trees with all the falling boulders.

"Alright, everyone use their Adepti seal to send the tree's boulders, and other things to Xianyun!" Paimon said bossily as she floated in the air as we landed and began working to send the things through the adepti seals that acted as the portal into the Serantea Pot.

"Bah, come down and help us Paimon." Eula snapped back at Paimon.

Paimon folded her stubby arms over her chest in response to that and said. "How is Paimon supposed to help? Paimon can't even wrap her hands around a honey-suckle chicken!" 

Lumine all but audibly rolled her eyes as she said in a drawl. "Paimon, just send some small stones alright. Don't you want to say you also had a part in helping build the inside of the pot?" 

With that Paimon actually had the idea on how to help us leaving Mona just kinda awkwardly standing around as the Raiden Shogun was overseeing our work to make sure no monsters came after us.

After half an hour of work, where Lumine and I used our Geo powers to cut down some more tree's we quickly left, and our... Probably too large a party headed off to Mondstadt.

"Eula, are there any cultural norms I should know about Mondstadt?" Shenhe asked rather randomly as we came closer to Monstadt and we could see the city's light seemingly floating across the lake it was built upon.

Eula being our nominal mondstadt citizen blinked and said. "Common sense is the foundation of society Shenhe. Mondstadt is the city of freedom after all, so it is more relaxed about traditions and rules nowadays." 

Which was very true.

But in that vein, Mona actually spoke up. "Ah, by the way, Eula. I do need to speak with the Knights of Favonius, could you point me to where their headquarters are when we reach Mondstadt?" 

To which Eula blustered heatedly. "Do you not see my outfit and heraldry? The Lawrence clan has been part of Mondstadt and the lands ruling class for millennia! I myself am the head of the scouts of Mondstadt!" 

And Mona had the perfect excuse as she said calmly. "I apologize. But when I read your fortune, I learned of severed bloodlines, and bonds of even tighter bonds of love being forged for people that came into your life like a storm." 

Eula's deep flush of embarrassment as she threw me a desperate look to keep my mouth shut was just... Too damned adorable honestly.
