Hero Within, Monster Without Chapter 18

"S9, dealt with. Scion won't be triggered while I am busy... Now to deal with Scion before he realizes I am taking out his Conflict Engines." I muttered to myself.

As I realized that Scion although autistic as fuck due to being in extreme depression and not having a human-like mind. I knew that he would get very fucking curious when he finds out his Endbringers/Conflict Engines get destroyed.

So Scion/Zion needed to go before anything else.

And in that vein, I took a deep long breath as I embraced eternity. My form of the Sage Equal to Heaven faded away as I had already decided my future path.

My mind dulled as colder logic filled it and I stretched out my human hands with my spiritual energy flexing to form the large brush of Ichimonji then my vision crackled as I tore a hole through space and teleported to where my sensors had already caught onto Scion who was pulling a raccoon out of a trash can.

The Monk who calls the Real Name. In a split second, as I teleported behind the golden figure of Scion, I acted as I spoke calmly. "Blacken." And a wave of pure dark ink splattered and completely covered Scion's form.

The ink that wrote existence and reality into law soaked into the eldritch entity's body and soul with his form twitching as the magical effect was beyond anything it had clearly ever experienced in its many millennia of life.

And already I could feel my own soul... Cracking at the weight of using Ichibe Hyosube's body and abilities as my own.

Altering reality wasn't something casually done. And my soul was nowhere near as powerful as the precursor to all Shinigami.

But, I only needed to do two things... First paint Scion. And then, I stabbed forward with Zion's golden eyes widening as it felt cosmic pain as I spoke through blood seeping from my mouth, eyes, nose, and ears.

"Futen Taisatsuryō." 

All the BLACK in my surroundings pooled around me. The BLACK of shadows, the BLACK of the road's asphalt surrounding me. And most importantly all the BLACK that made up Scion/Zion's body and soul.

All that BLACK formed the shrine of Futen Taisatsuryō, and as the now nameless being broke apart in front of me as its body, mind, and soul were distilled into the inky BLACK, with shaky hands I took the cup filled with Zion and the surrounding BLACK that formed within the shrine.

"Bottoms up," I spoke as I felt blood vessels popping in my body and then I downed all that Zion was with his existence burning away with no chance of even reincarnation as his existence was blotted out.

My vision dulled and even as I fell forward I shifted forms into an oh-so-simple husky that matched the one I had in my previous life.

But as my form was about to hit the ground I fell into arms that carefully stopped my almost dying form from hitting the ground.

"Door me to Panacea." The voice spoke blandly.

And that was the last thing I caught before my mind and soul fell into unconsciousness.

"So... Menagerie killed Scion somehow," Eidolon spoke hollowly as he brushed a hand across his unmasked face.

Legend himself nodded with a wry smile across his face as he said. "Well, that and he killed the Slaughter House just before doing Scion in. What I am curious about is how Jake knew Scion's nature?"

There was a pause before another portal opened and Contessa walked into the room with her signature hat off her head making everyone blink as the holder of the Path to Victory power just... Slouched in her seat and stared up at the ceiling.

"The Path suggests that as Jake took on eldritch and otherworldly forms, their mindsets tainted his natural mind, giving him 'insight' into Scion's true nature... There is a slight issue with Scion's death though." 

Alexandria stiffened and her voice came out tired and coldly. "What? Did Scion give off a death scream or something that would attract more entities?" 

Contessa blinked and in a surprising act from the person who was at times seemingly piloted by the Path to Victory. She actually shuddered before drawling out. "No... No Scion was seemingly unmade at the conceptual level before he could do any such thing. The issue is that the Endbringers without Scion keeping them on a leash will have lost their limiters and will probably move to obliterate Earth Bet."

There was a moment of silence before Eidolon shrugged and said. "So, do we move as many humans as we can to other Earth's and just abandon Earth Bet or something? Leave those Endbringers there to rot?" 

"No. The Simurgh has already shown the ability to make Tinkertech that can open portals to other Earths... I have a Path working around Jake to get him healed by a mastered Panacea. Her memory is locked into a loop of Jake being just another patient she is supposed to be healing so Jake is biologically incapable of dying within Panacea's hands."

There was a hum from Alexandria who said bluntly. "You mean for Jake to kill the Endbringers as well correct."

A pause... And then Contessa said calmly. "Indeterminate if that is possible with the mental and physical damage done to Jake currently. I still cannot Path him directly or even remotely via other targets so I had to rely on more ham-fisted methods."

After a moment, Legends shifted with a small frown and spoke. "Will Panacea be alright after being mastered though?" 

Contessa nodded and reported. "Nine steps to apply memory amnestics to Panacea so any memory of the Mastering, even in the subconscious will be wiped away. Also I have dealt with making sure the Dallon Family won't look for her by having Strider send the family via a teleport to Brazil."

With that Eidolon clapped his hands and said with the height of the world being taken off his shoulders. "Well... I don't know about you all. But I got an orgy, copious amounts of drugs and alcohol to consume to celebrate Scions death. Door me to Pattaya Thailand!" 

There was a pause before Legend's unmasked face cracked into a giggle before he said. "Wait... Does David know that although Thailand is one of the biggest sex capitals in the world? They also have the by the farthest largest amount of 'ladyboys?"

"If Eidolon gets an STD... I am not having Panacea's mind wiped to get that cleaned up, he is going to live with the shame... Along with possibly finding out his partner... Or multiple had the wrong set of genitalia." Alexandria snarked before she stood up and ordered.

"Door me to Panacea." And then she spoke out to the rest of Cauldron. "I am going to keep watch over Jake to make sure if he survives. He doesn't run off before we can make any form of contact."
