Pokemon, Multiversal Streamer Chapter 17

Taking a deep breath I took in the form of the stronger Geodude who was clearly getting bulked up to evolve into a Graveler and realized that this battle was probably going to be more difficult then I anticipated. 

"Geodude, use Rock Throw!" Brock commanded to test the waters and hearing the words I mentally ordered Ralts to teleport to the side of the Geodude with my mind sending an image of where she was to land.

Understanding my order and drawing upon my aura for strength to she instantly teleported away from the hand full of sharp rocks that sliced through where she previously was and then as she came out of the teleport to the Geodudes right side I quickly mentally ordered her to use Disarming Voice.

Rose uttered her Pokemon name with a powerful wave of sound slamming into the stronger Geodude and my lips quirked with some annoyance at seeing how it didn't get blasted away into the rock I positioned Rose to blast it into.

No, this Geodude was both big and strong enough to take a hit and not be rag-dolled, and more importantly, it knew how to actually take a hit as I saw the Geodude shift its center of gravity so the wave of sound would bounce over its form and only shove it into the ground.

'Alright, I can still draw out the fight. Or... Maybe not.' I thought as Brock ordered. "Geodude, Defense Curl! and do it again!"

I gave a blink at how he was trying to stack up his defenses and then I ordered aloud. "Rose, Mystic Fire." 

Rose gave a happy cheer as she began sending a blitz of small balls of flames that hit the Geodude's armored frame which blinded him with the multicolor flames.

[Princess of Thorns- The Pokemon does have functioning eyes and ears it seems, have Rose give a Disarming Voice right into the face and see how the Geodude responds. Maybe you can deafen it to the other trainer's commands.]

I raised an eyebrow at the command and seeing as Rose was only getting slighty fatigued I bit my lower lip and mentally ordered her to do so as Brock ordered the Geodude to use another series of Rock Throws that harried my Rose with how much more dangerous the attack was compared to Rose's mystic fire.

Rose teleported directly in front of the Geodude and even as Brock opened his mouth to order something Rose yelled out her Pokemon name with the Geodude being sent skidding backwards as it got rolled over by the force of the powerful Disarming Voice to the face.

And even as it got up I could see that its eyes were a little unfocused as it mentally recovered from being thrown back so harshly even if the three sets of Defense Curls in accumulated rock armor blocked most of the damage.

"Rose use confusion!" I ordered with Brock's face twitching as Rose's eyes turned dark purple with pyschic energy as she mentally attacked Geodude who violently twitched and held its head as Rose's mental energy bolstered simply by my own aura smashed into his natural mental defenses like a truck.

[Worst Teacher- He is going to close in now, he knows that you can simply beat down his Geodude from a distance and with the way that your little arsonist dodged all those rocks in a hurry, he knows she can't take a proper beating like his can.]

Gojo was right honestly so I wasn't surprised when Brock ordered the Geodude into a Rollout that had the Geodude roll up his arms around himself as he began fucking zooming around the arena with the Geodude dodging the rocks that I thought that Rose could use for cover.

Meanwhile Rose had teleported onto one of the rocks to get off the ground away from the damned rock-type sonic the hedgehog wanna be and then Brock ordered something that made me freeze. "Geodude! Quick Attack!" 

The already whirling around ball of rock that was gaining speed abruptly tripled in speed and then it hit some kind of rock and the Geodude went flying through the air... Directly at Ralts and even as I ordered her to teleport to get away. I knew it was going to be close but then Brock ordered loudly as the Geodude got within a couple feet of my Rose.

"Geodude use Self-Destruct!"

Without a single moment of buildup... No, it was fucking clearly planned for the get-go, the Geodude was trained in this combo to yeet themselves into a Pokemon and just explode themselves like a damn nuke to the Pokemon's face.

A blinding white blare of light exploded outwards with my hand raising up a purple shield as dust and debris stabbed into it while I shuddered feeling Rose's brief flare of agony at being within the center of the explosion before the connection was abruptly cut off as she fainted at the injuries she was inflicted with.

I quickly took out Rose's pokeball and picked her up as Brock nonchalantly picked up the fainted but somehow still grinning Geodude who went out with his hands folded up into thumbs up that made my eye twitch.

"Didn't think a Gym Leader on a trainer's first badge would use multi step moves into a suicide attack," I said without any amusement and Brock gave me a wry smile as he shrugged.

"Sorry Jake, but it looks bad if a first evolution sweeps through my whole team plus this whole gym theme is climbing over challenges and hurdles. So you got two more Pokemon to take my last one, are you ready?" He asked as he beheld the Greatball that was certainly Onix.

[Princess of Ruination- Go ahead Jake! Throw out your weird Diva Pokemon and her Aqua Tail should be able to make short work of that rock snake... Unless it also uses Self Destruct to be an asshole.]

My lips twitched at the thought of Brock just throwing the Onix right in front of myself and ordering it to self detonate... Fuck that was a terrifying thought as I knew it could easily kill me and the Geodude although burned and clearly beyond exhausted by the attack, looked like it was going to make a full recovery in time from that attack.

I took a breath and Brock seeing me readied pointed his Greatball in front of himself with the red beam shooting out his Onix and as I took in the large rock pokemon I likewise sent out Diva my Vaporeon.

"Oh a Vaporeon? Are they your starter?" Brock asked with some curiosity and a wry smile as he knew well enough that unless he played really dirty, an evolved water Pokemon was going to give his Onix a hard time. 

I shook my head and said honestly. "No, my starter is Rose, that Ralts. I just captured this beauty a few days actually." 

With Brock giving a nod of understanding as Ai called out excitedly. "Go ahead Diva, you got this!" Diva gave a lazy curl of her lips and as she took in her surroundings I could see how although she was rather disappointed in an empty stadium, I could see her mind whirling at the thought of countless other people cheering her on with a filled stadium.

And with our mental connection, I could feel the anticipation within her at the thought and then she looked at the Onix, the large imposing Pokemon with disdain at its dirty rock form with her clear disdain ringing out to my senses. 

"Alright, Onyx! Get the Vaporeon into a Bide so it can't run away!" He ordered the Onix who gave a low rumbling roar and charged towards the Vaporeon.

And in turn I ordered out quickly. "Vaporeon use Fake Tears!" I called out with the Vaporeon's face twisting up into a visage of utter despair like it was a pure-hearted child knowing they were about to be put through a wood chipper and its face expressed all those emotions at once.

The Onix's face at seeing such an expression visibly curled up in matching anxiousness with their rush slowing down enough that I quickly ordered Vaporeon to attack the charging Onix. "Vaporeon use Aqua Tail!"

Vaporeon's pitiful expression died in an instant as she gave out a vicious cry as she sped forward the last couple meters towards the faltering Onix and even Brock winced as the Vaporeon slammed its water-covered tail directly into the Onix's face.

The Onix's head snapped back with its head retreating as the super effective water type move did a good bit of damage, especially with how I had lowered its special defenses with the Fake Tears move before it could properly attack my own Pokemon.

But Brock wasn't finished as he quickly ordered the mentally recovered Pokemon . "Onix use Dragon Breath!" 

Onix's mouth filled with purple flames and having a cruel and cunning idea I pointed at the Onix and ordered. "Diva put your Protect shield right there!" I ordered as I sent a mental image to her at what I wanted.

And Diva stiffened as she used a great deal of energy to form the multi-faceted circle of energy that was Protect... But right in front of Onix's face as the massive plume of purple fire shot outwards. The Onix roared in pain as its own attack all but exploded into its face!

[Princess of Ruination- Spam water gun now while you have the Onix back!]

I got the message and it was the right move so I yelled out. "Diva, use Water Gun and keep doing it at full power!"

Diva began shooting powerful beams of compressed water towards the Onix who roared in pain as the high-pressure water carved into his rocky form with Brock sighing and before I could react he pulled out his Greatball and then zapped the Onix taking it back in with an announcer calling out. "Jake Bariss is the winner congratulations!"

I saw Ai quickly moving down from the stands as I came down from the battle stand with Brock doing the same as we moved to meet outside the arena on the side and by the time I got there Diva was alreadly standing on the side of the arena to give me a smug smile at winning the battle with seemingly so little effort.

"Well Jake, that was a good use of Protect. Especially when I didn't expect a Vaporeon to use such a move. But I did notice that you wait for your opponent to make the first move a lot of the time to try to counter their own moves." Brock began and I nodded in agreement looking back.

Taking a moment I said with a wry smile. "Yeah, you really caught me off guard with the quick attack, self-destruct combo... I will need to worry more about moves enhancing other moves in the future." 

To which Brock nodded and said with a more easygoing smile. "Well, thats good to hear, now here." He said taking out a tray from a side stand and sitting atop the tray was a small card that held Pokedollars on it that I could add to my account, a TM Disk, and of course the Boulder Badge that was proof of me completing this gym!

"Jake, you have proven yourself in passing the trails of this gym and I am proud to give you the Boulder Badge. Now keep up this same drive and I can see you going far, now I have to take my Pokemon to get healed so let us be off while your ahem... Girlfriend spoils you away from my sight." Brock finished with his face turning completely jealous as Ai all but skipped over to us with a winning smile.

And his jealousy was well proven as Ai took my arm as she got closer and said. "And here is your true prize!" A soft wet kiss landing on my cheek before she cheekily giggled and bounced backward away from me with a small flush entering her cheeks as Brock choked and then stomped away with muffled sobs following his desolate form as he strode away.

With Ai watching me and the systems viewers waiting with baited breath, I then went to take my other more physical prizes and as I took the Boulder Badge I heard a loud buzzing noise with my system going off in a row.

I shifted feeling my aura stores which fueled my psychic energy abilities grow by a quarter and thankfully it was painless and all but then the system went off again.
