Kitsune in Teyvat Chapter 21

With my meetings with the important people of Sumeru completed... As in just Nahida, as the rest weren't that important honestly, I met back up with Shenhe who was meditating in the relative silence she could find while within an inn. 

"Ah you are ready to leave I see." Shenhe noted as she opened her eyes and took in my form.

I gave a wane smile as I said. "Yeah, it would be nice to pop back over into Liyue to see how everyone is doing. Maybe stop there for a couple of days and relax before we continue to Jueyan Karst." 

The Adepti Disciple gave a small nod before she tilted her head to the side and while seemingly judging me she said with a small frown. "You aren't a little cutie anymore though, so I can't carry you." 

I chuckled at hearing her words as there seemed to be an actual pout in her voice as she said that. "Ah Shenhe, I can take on my smaller Kitsune form at will for you to carry me if you wish. But I am now a fully grown adult now in my human form due to that time shenanigans." 

To which Shenhe literally just pouted as she stood up, and I blinked as she came closer and her eyes tightened on my form before she said bluntly. "I don't like it... I want to be taller than you so I can hug you to my chest, and scratch your ears at my leisure."

'Oh, dear gods... The one disadvantage to growing up is the loss of casual affection from cuteness-obsessed ladies. I am not too disappointed though I swear!' I thought with some amusement.

And in reverse of the previous events of her spoiling me with affection, I raised up a hand and I placed it on her head making her blink as I began patting her head as I said with some mischievous amusement in my voice. "Oh Shenhe, now that I am the taller one I get to pat you on the head." 

Shenhe gave a small smile at that and as I pulled back my hand she said more seriously. "Well, then are you ready to begin making our way back to Liyue? We will need to travel through much of Sumeru and past the Chasm if we wish to take the fastest way back to the city of Liyue."

After a moment of thought, as I went over the maps of the world I had in my head, I nodded saying. "Alright, I can shrink down into my kitsune form for you to carry me if you want?" 

Shenhe agreed to carry me as she knew that despite me being a Kitsune and having some supernatural speed and agility... I had nowhere near the endurance and ability to match her full speed of traveling the world when she ran with her Adepti-trained movements." 

So with my snow white Kitsune form safely held in Shenhe's arms against her chest she began her run. A run that had her leaping through the air with her using her Cryo energy and the Adepti energy she had cultivated to glide through the air. With each leap taking us several hundred meters as we quickly flew through the more sparse parts of Sumeru's jungle.

A few hours later the jungles of Sumeru thinned and I could feel the Dendro Vision hanging around my neck besides my Electro one give a pulse of power as though giving me a small hug before we just left Sumeru and I realized that Nahida literally gave me a hug with pure power before I left her domain over Sumeru.

Truly the best goddess of Teyvat, would worship her again.

Once we entered the mountainous regions of Liyue Shenhe's pace seemingly increased as she entered her natural habitat and she leapt from mountain top, to mountain top with her even being so free as to converse as though she was simply going on a simple walk.

"I have traveled the mountains of Liyue for as long as I can remember, helping my master deal with the evils that fill the lands," Shenhe spoke calmly and I gave a slight hum as I took in the beautiful sharply rising mountain spires that surrounded us in Liyue's signature picturesque background. 

"How far are we from Liyue city, now that we have entered the proper nation." I asked curiously and Shenhe gave a slight hum with her gliding slowing down as she took in her surroundings.

"If we continue without stopping, we will reach Liyue by dawn. Would you like to continue or should we set up camp for tonight atop a mountain with the stars being our entertainment?" Shenhe asked softly as her arms gave me a slight squeeze.

I gave a slight hum before I answered. "It's up to you, you were the one who fought yesterday and did all of this traveling. Would you like a break for now?"

As we came onto a mountain top Shenhe's speed slowed as our form was covered in Cryo energy as she used her vision to create a small ice ramp to more comfortably slow down. "Fine. I could indeed use a little rest if you are willing to wait." Shenhe spoke as we came to a stop and the ice cracked and broke apart disappearing into the strong winds that shot over the mountaintop.

Without another word, Shenhe sat down against an outcropping with my kitsune form swallowed up in her sitting form as she raised up her knees and wrapped her arms around her legs to block off the wind as she put her head down into my fur. "Take a short sleep Kurama, I am going to meditate and rest for now." Shenhe spoke calmly.

Mentally shrugging I just enjoyed Shenhe's soft chest to sleep against while wondering if we could catch Ganyu over in Liyue while we were there.
