for those who use chrome (not sure about other browsers), because the download is the file and not archived etc. it might be auto blocking the download if the browser is in default mode.
chrome has this thing where it thinks every file that isnt archived or something is malware... which means that W7 (i dont and wont use W8) could also be blocking execution of the file.
further from this same information i surmise that if anyone else (like me) are not able to save/load with these files it is also chrome blocking functions from executing properly.
just a heads up to everyone and fenoxo... maybe, there is some workaround for this but i am not aware of it; because the end user for chrome cannot access deep function of chrome like you would for firefox, TOR, Opera... IE may or may not be worse with the latest versions.

some of the issues might (this is iffy at best) be solved by turning malware/phishing protection off.
