2014-08-20 12:14:29 +0000 UTCFirefox does not actually have a stand alone flash player. I used to use it as well but for some reason it has stopped working. To prevent it from crashing though go to options>applications> search for swf> change anything that does not have a default application to always ask. I believe there is a difference in flash types but I have no expertise in that area so don't take my word on that.
