You must have heard the “Gear does not Matter” line so many times. It does mean that creation is more about creativity than the medium on which it is created. But having said that, we cannot be ignorant of the fact that each equipment has it’s own advantages and limitations based on it’s capability and capacity. So Gear selections are usually a trade off call mostly based on the budget you have. In photography it is usually said that the best camera you have, is the one in your hand. Yes agreed, but the one that you are holding needs to be planned before buying :) A Gear comprises not only of a Camera, but also a host of other accessories including lenses ( a good camera with a crappy lens will not be as good as a crappy camera with a good lens which in turn will not be as good as a good camera with a good lens. Also other accessories that yoi should plan for are reflectors ( which also double up as diffusers) and external off camera ( or on camera) lights ( in the form of strobes, continuous light etc). This is some food for thought and am sure based on this you can plan your gear. A gear needs to be built gradually and upgraded only when u feel u have used the existing ones to it’s absolute creative limit.
