(OPB) TAYLOR VS LUNG
Added 2025-04-25 09:55:53 +0000 UTCTaylor stood on the rooftop, watching the chaos below like a bored student at a school play. Fire. Screaming. The occasional dramatic slow-mo leap. Just another Thursday night in Brockton Bay really.
Down on the street, Lung roared, scales sliding into place as he loomed over the flaming husk of a car. A group in costumes scrambled for cover while civilians fled, hands over their heads and mouths open in screams. One kid tripped and faceplanted directly in front of the world’s angriest fire hazard.
Taylor sighed.
She dropped from the rooftop.
Lung turned as she landed with a soft thud, barely cracking the pavement. He sneered, molten eyes narrowing. “You gonna stop me, little girl?”
Taylor stared at him, utterly unimpressed. “You said you were going to attack children.”
“I am attacking children!”
She punched him.
Lung blinked.
Then he blinked again, upside-down, mid-flight, because he was currently sailing over three city blocks and about to land headfirst in a dumpster labeled Hazardous Waste.
A long beat of silence.
Then from the dumpster:
“RRAAAGH—!!”
The ground shook. Flames erupted from the bin as Lung exploded out, now fully dragon-ified—minus wings, but plus horns, claws, and what could only be described as lava-core abs. He roared so loud it shattered every glass within a mile.
“I’ll show you my full—!”
She punched him again.
There was no dramatic roar this time.
Just impact.
The sky lit up for a second. A mushroom cloud—shaped, rather artistically, like a clenched fist—rose above Brockton Bay.
The fire stopped. The air stilled.
The crater now stretched four blocks wide. In the center stood Taylor, hoodie lightly smoldering, arms crossed.
A long pause.
Then the low rumble of an approaching motorcycle. Armsmaster rolled into view, helmet slightly askew, taking in the devastation with increasing horror.
He dismounted. Stared at her. “What… did you do?”
Taylor shrugged. “I punched him. Twice.”
Armsmaster opened his mouth. Closed it. Checked his HUD.
It crashed.
He sat down on the curb, removed his helmet, placed his head in his hands, and rocked in place.
