Should we build releases with ReadyToRun?
Added 2023-09-27 23:36:17 +0000 UTCReadyToRun is an option that precompiles some JIT code ahead of time to reduce startup time and latency in loading content / pages for the first time.
In our testing this reduced the time for starting Stability Matrix from ~1.6s to ~0.7s. The difference may be smaller or larger depending on the amount of models / packages you have.
However this also increases the size of the app and updates:
exe: (150 MB) ➝ (250 MB)
zip: (60 MB) ➝ (100 MB)
