June Newsletter

You may have noticed that I haven't written a newsletter, or posted much of anything on here, for the last couple of months. 

I've been feeling kind of scattered, but also very present where it really counts. I've been focusing on the people I'm with, the friends and family around me, and I've let my professional and creative goals take a bit of a back seat. 

The last few months I've been living with my sister and nannying my niece, and I wanted to savor that time with them as much as I possibly could. The month of May was filled with lots of travel, and now I'm heading back home to North Carolina for a little bit. I'm excited to get back into a routine of working and creating. 

Here are my goals for the month of June:

• Be consistent about making Instagram Reels/TikToks and stick to a regular posting schedule 
• Hit 40,000 words on my current novel that I'm writing 
• Finally dive into the Self Love Journal idea that I had earlier this year. (I'd love to have it done and for sale by the end of July at the latest) 
• Sell more art! 
• Make some stronger friends and connections in the Raleigh/Durham area 

It feels like a lot but I'm determined to spend the month really working hard and committing to my goals in a way I don't think I really ever have. I want to make this self-employment thing work for the long-term. If I'm being honest, I don't feel like I've ever really given it my best effort, never really put in 100%. So, this summer I've decided I'm giving it my all. I'm not getting any other part-time gigs, no more nannying. I'm going to make this full-time writer and artist thing happen. 

I'd really love to work on growing this community as well. I think there's so much potential here on Patreon to engage with people and really form some awesome connections. I want to do more of that! I want to really get to know everyone who subscribes here. So please, don't feel shy about commenting on my posts or asking questions or sending me a message. That's what this space is for!
