Good point and good question. Patricia herself said that Emma can be reckless. Emma stopping at the pool I took to be more of her not understanding of what she was doing to Gabby. She realized afterwards that she had to be more aware because this seemed to be the first time Emma ever performed that move.
Again, Emma is showing her immaturity by being impatient. But, on the other hand, Gabby did use the bathroom as a defense mechanism before.
Both need to grow up. Both need more life experiences and lessons before entering this type of relationship. They are only 18; they haven't really seen or experienced the world. Maybe they could be ready by 21 or 22, say after college. But, then again Catherine Neal preys on first year college girls to be her ponygirls. Unfortunately, 18 is considered to be an adult. This is just an arbitrary number people agreed on. Is there a test for maturity? Perhaps there should be.

Being late or not, Emma again showed, how much she doesn't care about her subs need. It doesn't matter if she was annoyed. What if Gabby can't hold it and pees heerself on the stage? Yeah that'll show everyone, that bondage is normal...
Would she react the same way if they were having kinky sex and Gabby used the safeword? Or would she just say "shut up (bitch/slave), I'm almost finished"?
Okay, i know she stopped by the pool when Gabby signaled, but would've she if she was annoyed at the time? 🤔

Underage? Only adults? Is the school stupid? The legal council is only trying to cover tthe school's ass.
Whatever Catherine Neal says, whatever anything is said, will be know to all students by the next day. Bondage Day could, and most probably will, open the inevitable Pandora's Box they are think they can contain and control.
Kids are notorious for being devious and sneaky, in finding out information, especially in today's electronic age. Snooping is very easy to do.
Plus, have they considered that older 'adult' students can take this information and inform, and possible apply it to, the 'underage' students.
A lot of people in power, especially parents, use the exact same reasoning of "we'll only tell the adult over 18 kids". This rarely works out.
Now, what is the definition of insanity??? 🤣 🤣 🤣
