Also, the last page of the last chapter Emma warns Gabby that she cannot keep secrets but she herself can. The issue is that all secrets sooner or later get revealed. If the secret is about Gabby, the longer the secret is kept, the more Emma risks damaging her relationship withy Gabby, i.e. Gabby being her 'girlfriend'. But, if not about Gabby then why keep a secret. Gabby may be able to either help or comfort Emma. Isn't this what a girlfriend can and is supposed to do?
However, Gabby has kept a secret. In CH 26 Emma puts Gabby in the travel box. During the night Gabby hears moaning, not knowing that it was her mother that she was hearing. CH 27 is the catfighting chapter. Gabby never told Emma about what she heard.
Does Emma think Gabby has kept secrets from her? Is that why she is looking at the floor? But just before the doorbell Emma smiles and kisses Gabby. SimVenus, you drive me crazy sometimes! Please keep it up!

SimVenus you also said that in this chapter Emma and Patricia will argue. I'm hoping that BOTH Emma and Patricia learn from each other. Both of them seem to need it; they both need to grow emotionally.
