Great point and one I have not considered but need to. Gabby knew Emma was rich and you have reminded me with a great example where Gabby saw herself living at the beach house. Is Gabby excited about living in wealth, well in this case, Emma's and Patricia's wealth, because Gabby and Elena were so poor? Is Gabby excited about new and expensive clothes (I don't remember Gabby's preferences)? Gabby did mention the fact that Emma got a new car for her 18th birthday when all Gabby got was a new pair of shoes (was Gabby jealous?). Also, I believe that somewhere early in the story Gabby thought this was going to be good for Elena because Patricia would take care of Elena.

All Gabby asked for was to be fucked again. That to me wasn't misbehaving. That's what Emma wanted Gabby to do; she wanted Gabby to tell her when she wanted to be fucked. I believe she really does care and have feelings for Gabby. But, if Emma wants Gabby to be a true girlfriend, Emma has to stop the love/punish/rejection manipulation and go straight into love only.
