I did do some research on who owns the house and I could not come up with anything conclusive, at this time.
As for the misbehaving, Emma caning Gabby was chapter 8. The original caning was because of Gabby had thoughts about and was afraid that Elena would take Gabby home. The issue was that Gabby did not share them with Emma. To me that is not misbehaving. However, Emma thought so. Emma basically caned Gabby into submission and caned Gabby until Gabby revealed that her reason for wanting to be with Emma was because she loved Emma.
Also, I looked back to where Emma and Gabby went to Gabby's apartment to pick up items. School stuff, Gabby's laptop, one teddy bear, no dolls (Emma would retrieve them later), but no clothes. So, Gabby really has nothing left. Emma has stripped Gabby of everything personal in order to start her new life as a SLAVE, not a sub. Yes, I do mean SLAVE. The slave is owned by the mistress (think Emily and Julia.
The ceremony is to make Emily a slave of Julia. Julia will literally own Emily and all of Emily's possessions.) Patricia did not strip any of her subs of everything, or anything; they are not slaves. They still had lives outside of the dungeon. And typical Gabby just agreed with Emma.

I get the impression that until Emma shows Lexy the whole dungeon this misbehavior of hers will not end. Her behavior toward Lexy shows how attention-seeking she is!
Does she treat Gabby like her property? Maybe, certainly not like her girlfriend, who should be asked her opinion. One asks one's girlfriend's opinion on issues concerning her, one's submissive not necessarily.
