New name for AD mode?
Added 2023-08-31 20:29:37 +0000 UTCHi all! Since the introduction of the AD mode it has caused quite some confusion about what "AD" or "After Dark" means. Do you think the name is OK or do you like other alternatives more?

As stated above.. AD is the most descriptive, and not only limited to furs, but also the rest of the internet. Calling it something else will definitely sow more confusion.

2023-09-26 13:37:02 +0000 UTCI did not know what AD meant, but I made a guess and was correct. After Dark is also used by non-fur groups and communities to suggest more mature content. If you want to make it more clear without invoking something more....pornographic (for lack of a better word) I would suggest "After Dark (18+)"

Its also a term that doesn't inherently mean, explicit content, but just mean it's meant for of legal age. When the dogs are done working. They go out barqing.

2023-08-31 20:57:11 +0000 UTCAfter Dark only really works for furs active on social media and who know that means an adult only profile… so I personally think it’s okay and I sure barq users who don’t know what after dark means will figure it out if it’s obvious and rated for adults only especially if it includes a disclaimer or description of sorts upon creation of one or in setting… However if you want more broad understanding, probably calling it After Dark (XXX) will probably make it obvious what it’s for, for those furs who don’t know or worse, just mistake it for a normal profile space but just non-minor space and not use it for XXX adult related content.
