Probably most of you know meaning of "barber" only as a hairdresser, but it can be translate also to "cyrulik". In shortcut, in old times cyrulik was kind of medic, who used folk knowledge and experience, not higher education. To heal, to help, to perform minor treatments or operations. And yes, was kind of hairdresser also.
