Morning in the Forest

Once again, before the Sunrise, the Forest called me for a very long walk. Led by the Moon I stepped into the valey drowned in marvelous, extremely quiet Mist. Every Tree was sleeping without a slightest murmur.  I wished to dance with this wonderful Magic but ... not wanting to disturb anyone, I just slipped on tiptoes so as not to wake any of the sleepyheads, and entered a Forest path leading up the hill.

There I met Him. Brilliant, mature, lonely deer standing in the middle of the road about 40 metres from me and staring at me. I was too much amazed by his impressiveness to take any photo. After some time he slowly walked away, while I continued my way up with huge calm smile in me, because of such nice welcome in the Forest.

At some point another misty valey appeared to my eyes. But this one was gradually waking up to life. At first lazily, strechted part after part. Crumbs of Mist shyly swirlled around leaves and grass asking them to dance. Finally, with the first rays of the Sun, everyone exploded with passion to live the day! To grow. To delight world by themselves. To be. I couldn't refuse and joined myself this miracle of the morning with feet dancing in the midst of cold dewdrops. Colors and smells which were inspired by the warmth of the Sun flooded previously dormant reality. Each droplet changed into the most beautiful diamond, that illuminated the natural Magic.

After some time, after delicious breakfast with the purest taste of cool raspberries found on a wild bush, I stepped again to the Forest to enjoy birds concert during long walk. When early morning started to change into hot middle morning, I chose the forgotten, lumberjack's road to go home. And there I met Them! In the beginning I thought they were foxes. But step by step, I realized that they are wildcats (Felis silvestris) -  in Poland strictly protected due to the low population. I was angry at myself that once again my 200mm lens was in backpack, not in camera... I could only have hope that they come closer to me. Me - standing in the middle of the road and staring at them. Luckily for me my hopes were answered. They came. Extremely close. They noticed my presence from about 20 metres. While mother was watching me closely with calm, the kitten was absolutely carefree. After long time of this meeting, they slowly walked into the Forest, while I continued my way home with huge calm smile in me, because of such nice farewell in the Forest.

Some may ask "Do I regret that I didn't take any photo of Mr. Deer?". No. At any point I don't regret. Life is not just taking pictures. Life is about feeling. Keeping beautiful moments and memories in us. Not on SD card.

I'm truly grateful that Forest treat me as a safe, not harming part of their community. That's an honor.
