This crew feels like family to me now. The journey has come to an end.
Love Rimmer centric episodes, they’re always the best.

I never really got into The Brittas Empire which is show about a leasure centre manager that's played by Chris's Barrie, rimmer. It's a well liked show and although Chris plays different character than that of red dwarf the character he is still a complete smeg head. You should check out an episode to see what you think

There is apparently a new 3-episode special in production that the moment. Will it be good? Who knows. Will we laugh? Quite likely.

Always a sad time when you have watched the last smegging episode, and there are no more. Luckily you can always watch them all again.

I get the family reference... I feel the same with Only Fools and Horses... I get so immersed that it's almost like I know the characters personally!

If you want to watch more Red Dwarf content after 'The Promised Land', every series has 'smeg ups', 'deleted scenes' and a featurette featuring interviews withe cast and crew and has interesting details about how the episode was made. There's also 'The First Three Million Years' documentary series. One special I would love you to see is 'Can't Smeg Won't Smeg', which is a cooking show presented by Ainsley Harriott and was featured on BBC2's 10th anniversary Red Dwarf night in 1998. The cast are all in character and hilarity ensues. If you decide to do a rewatch, is this something Queen Boomer might be interested in?

There's one more, feature length special; called 'The Promised Land', which came out in 2020, that you haven't seen yet. Also there's a couple of cancelled episodes they remade as DVD special features, using storyboards and Chris Barrie narrating/providing character voices. Plus there's the Red Dwarf USA pilot that was made between series 5 & 6...it was unsurprisingly not successful

I get that's been a long time, but it's not even 80 episodes. Pretty much every good American show has enough episodes per season to reach 100 easily within 5 season.

Not sure if you got the "nobody is dead Arnold" joke, but it was a callback to the very first episode where Holly keeps telling Dave that everybody is dead.

There's still a 50/50 chance there'll be more episodes later in 2025 or into 2026 - They were greenlit but then cancelled, so you never know!
