The 90s didn't give a muppet's butthole.

Yes..watch SCUM...Ray Winstones first staring role. Gina McGee sexy as f

Paul Liversage

It's been great reliving this, thanks King truely high level satire at it's best,

Michael

Rhodes Boyson obviously didn't know who batman was. This was at a time when he wasn't as prominent in everyday culture. Before any of the movies and the internet

Yaapsdad

I concur with the comments recommending the 1979 film 'Scum', with a young Ray Winstone, about the brutal conditions of a 1970's borstal. Definitely not a comedy......

Dan Haynes

how'd I miss this?!I'm bedbound with nothing better to do ffs🤦‍♂️😑😔🤷‍♂️😂😂💜

Adam Hale

That shit was the best from 17:17.

Joe Thornhill

If trolling you're a legend, if not you need locking up in a buggery ward.

Jack

KB that needs to be your new intro at the half time break. It's not somthing u would want to do twice! Makes the man down intro look normal 😀

bdazzer85

Give a rest you keyboard warrior, and maybe expand your media diet beyond the Daily Mail and GB News once in a while eh

daniel shears

The irony of commenting on Mark Heap in blackface whilst wearing a T-Shirt emblazoned with “Back In Black” almost made me wet myself. Thank god for my stout prostate.

Paul Cole

I’m sure you’d have been alright with a couple of snooker balls in a sock 🤣

Paul Cole

I'm really glad you're enjoying these! Chris Morris was known as a media terrorist, and he really took his work to extremes. He also wrote columns under fake names for newspapers and did some wild things on national radio. Besides that, he has created some great television. I think you'll enjoy "Nathan Barley," which features a lot of familiar actors, including Richard Ayoade.

Retro Ravi

😂

Jason Scade

Man I love this show, Chris Morris has such a brilliantly bizarre mind

Rach

I think the penalty for mentioning politics should be murder, but without taking their life.

Julian T

Oh God. Let's not, yeah?

Charlie

lol here we go again…

Brian Moran

KB, have a lie down after that. To think the UK's Channel 4 (amongst all TV stations) has become a lefty woke, virtue-signalling, humour-less mouthpiece for the globalist establishment who would never broadcast comedy of this sort these days. Currently Chris Morris would be in danger of getting arrested under Starmer's Stasi State.

Geoffrey Boycott was an ex-England cricket player who went on to become a commentator, and some years back the broadcaster for whom he was working offered, as a freebie, a downloadable alarm ringtone of his voice. For a good few months I was woken up by Geoffrey Boycott telling me to get right out of bed. This episode would've been made around the time he was convicted in France of hitting his girlfriend. Not the pleasantest of characters is Sir Geoffrey, even his own teammates hated him.

Charlie

And Dumber and Dumber on Channel 5, which was peak early noughties low budget TV.

Charlie

All the 'zeit guest' interviews, this time hosted by 'David Compression', are with well known people at the time who think they're involved in something serious.

Richie

Tommy Vance was a well known radio DJ, he presented the Friday rock show on Radio One. Sadly, he's no longer with us.

Colin R

Tommy Vance (RIP) was a much loved rock radio legend. Exactly the right voice for it. Started his career as a DJ in Seattle, Washington in the 1960s. He took on the name Tommy Vance as the station he got the job with had already created jingles for an actual Tommy Vance who had pulled out of his contract before he even started. Returned to the UK a few years later and worked his way up from pirate radio to the BBC. Retired in 2004 and died in 2005.

Nick

I always forget Gina McKee's in Brass Eye. And wasn't expecting to see Willie Ross as the borstal Geordie and the old fella burying himself. Both from my neck of the woods.

Nick

Ha ha I forgot about the Geoff Boycott bit. "Get as far away from the bed as possible" IYKYK

Oliver

1. For a film about Borstal try watching the film Scum (1979) with Ray Winstone. To a lesser extent A Clockwork Orange 2. "Mad" Frankie Fraser was a real South London Gangster. An associate of the Kray Twins and the Torture gang 3. 29:27 Michael Winner, director of the Death Wish movies

Marvelous Dolcy

Well, I'm shocked! Glad you found your way out of that potential life of crime though! As for "Scum" - well, yes he should watch it. Maybe warn him first, incredibly grim.

Phil Robinson

Borstal was basically a juvenile prison as you said, I nearly went to one, back in the early 80's if you were caught doing a minor crime you were given an official caution, 3 cautions and you'd enjoy a little stay at a Borstal, I had a third caution but my headmaster stepped in and made them give me one more chance, I was quite shocked as the 3 cautions were for shoplifting, vandalism and arson, but I haven't broken the law since as Bortsal itself had a pretty scary reputation of being pretty rough, so just the shock of nearly going to one reformed me! You should watch the excellent Ray Winstone film about going to Borstal called 'Scum'.

Mark Jones

It’s mostly a good episode but I think the celebrity bits where they just read from a piece of paper fall flat for me, as well as going on a little too long.

James Ellison

Fabulous. The "Fadanoid" sequence, and its escalation is glorious! (amongst everything else that's glorious) Now - do we think that KB could be introduced to Victor Lewis-Smith? Thinking "TV Offal", contemporary to this, as it was broadcast on Channel 4 around the same time, and equally weird, brilliant, but not quite as satirically provocative - just muppety fun. Very British muppety fun - happy to hear other opinions. Might be difficult to find decent quality vids though.

Phil Robinson

The old guy who was told to bury himself was Sue's dad in Rita, Sue & Bob Too

Joe Blakeley

All the times I've watched this over the years, I never noticed the easter eggs in the closing credits until now. "Stunt Flautists: Colin Firth. - Ian McShane." 😂

Jay

David Sullivan talking about having morals.... lol.
