What are your thoughts on the new Sungazer album?
2021-10-28 22:21:31 +0000 UTCWould you ever put a song from reviewing your music on your best singles of the year list?

2021-10-28 21:40:44 +0000 UTCShakira’s early work before she was only making pop bangers for Americans, was actually some of the best music of the 90’s.

2021-10-28 10:25:42 +0000 UTCBrainiac’s Hissing Priggs in Static Couture was really ahead of its time! Lots of bands like Death From Above 1979 (who are also great) have a lot of the same DNA except happened A LOT later! Just wondering if you have heard of Brainiac and what your thoughts are? BTW the album cover is just about the most 90s thing in history!

2021-10-25 04:23:48 +0000 UTCThat's actually a fairly reasonable comparison, not exactly a hot take
2021-10-24 00:52:55 +0000 UTCLow is to David Bowie what Kid A is to Radiohead. They both come out of a state of mental/emotional turmoil. They’re both massive left turns into electronic and experimental territory. And they’re both pretty depressing.

2021-10-21 23:27:49 +0000 UTCPitchfork giving the Nine Inch Nails album The Fragile a 2 is one of the most absurd music reviews of all time. Doesn't help that the writer was such a massive douchebag and offered no critical insight other than it being "emo" for the harsh score. You have that review as a thumbnail but never actually addressed it so I'd like to hear your opinion on it based on the lil tease alone
2021-10-21 23:27:38 +0000 UTCChester Bennington is an amazing singer and should be up there with the legends of the rock genre
Pow-wow
2021-10-19 21:04:25 +0000 UTCThom Yorke makes some pretty great music, but is a super cringe guy. If you don’t believe me check out his inclusion on the UK quiz show, Big Fat Quiz Of The Year on YouTube. It really hurts to watch!

2021-10-19 19:13:09 +0000 UTCWhat would the best Wilco album be then? I’ve only listen to YHF and I really liked it.

2021-10-16 14:44:12 +0000 UTCSome work really well. Closer to Teens of Denial and Patti Smith’s Horses are great examples

2021-10-15 00:54:19 +0000 UTCI know you only started reviewing King Gizz when Paper Mache Dream Balloon dropped, but do you have any strong thoughts about their discography before that point (i.e. I’m in Your Mind Fuzz, Quarters, Eyes Like the Sky?)

2021-10-14 15:37:30 +0000 UTCWe need to ban sleepy acoustic closing tracks on albums (i.e. Growth off the new illuminati hotties) Songs like that are always super anticlimactic and do nothing for me. Imagine if the Black Parade ended with Gerard crying over a fingerpicked guitar, it would be weak and boring. A closer should be grand and wrap everything up in a satisfying way, but acoustic songs are too uneventful to do that.
2021-10-14 14:29:05 +0000 UTCYankee Hotel Foxtrot is not the best album from 2002. It's not even the best Wilco album.
